Greetings! I've just picked up my copy of Champions Complete and am looking forward to all the fun that will come from the Champions game. In doing a bit of digging for resources to bolster my learning I stumbled upon this hero designer. I would like to know what I would need to get started using it if I am on a Windows 10 machine. Thank you.

6E latest update The bug is in the output formatting (both onscreen and print versions). I've been creating PCs for awhile and I just now noticed this. The circumstance and effects do not have parentheses around them. Example: the output is "frequent, minor" instead of "(frequent, minor)". This appears to be the only complication that does this. All other complications have the parentheses.

How do I add faster climbing speed for a Heroic character into Hero Design. Currently it is 2 m per phase and I am allowing them to go to 4 m. I was thinking of using it as penalty skill levels? One option showed allowing a -3 for +2 m, but I am not sure how to add this into Hero Design?

(I now have the latest version.) There seems to be a problem with 1 point HKA (1 DC) and adding STR doesn't double the DC for 1/2 d6 HKA (2 DCs), instead it adds 3 DC for 1d6+1 HKA (4 DCs). I believe the rule is that STR cannot increase KAs damage more than double the KAs' DCs. I'm attaching a screenshot. The character's STR is 15 using the Heroic template.

What I want to do is to choose Autofire with 4 shots. I've tried adding it with 5 shots, then modifying the Options box from 5 shots to 4 shots. The final power display still shows 5 shots. All other modifiers with options, you can modify the option boxes and the final display will be correct (e.g. changing 8 charges to 7 charges). But for some reason, you can't do that with autofire.

Don't need any real details, but would like to know of any changes to features and such. Norm. PS. If you look at 6E1 60 Sample Everyman Skill Lists, Transport Familiarity can also be an everyman skill. However, under the Transport Familiarity skill as it stands now, there is no way to indicate that. My suggestion is to add a checkbox for the TF skill that must be checked before choosing a vehicle. When you choose that vehicle, all other vehicles will be grayed out. If you choose TF again, then the everyman checkbox and the vehicle checkbox you chose the first time would be grayed out so that there can only be one vehicle as an everyman skill. I'm having trouble with a template. I've created an extension template Skills6e.hdt with a list of science skills (found in 6E1 87). However, when importing, the sciences do not show in the dropdown box. See attached. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Skills6E.hdt

One of the toolkits in Fantasy Hero was to have armor cost END once a turn. The way I would like it to work is as follows. 1 Resistant Armor = 0 2-3 Resistant Armor = 1 4-5 Resistant Armor = 2 6-7 Resistant Armor = 3 8+ Resistant Armor = 4 How can I can I make this work in HD?

Under <TALENTS> you list the source for the PROGRAM talent as "Fifth Edition." Shouldn't it be "Sixth Edition" since AI6E is a 6th edition template?

Just purchased Hero Designer. I like it so far, but I ran into something. I am sure it is my lack of knowledge. Character has an 18 DEX, I purchased Stealth for 3 points and raised the level to 2 for 2 more points. The skill turned blue and didn't raise the roll to 14-, stayed at 13-. What rule am I missing on this. Remember I am new to Hero so I am sure there is something I am missing.

I'm building a Multipower (5e) with a limitation of charges on it. However, the charges limitation isn't apply to my slots. I didn't see anything in the rules as to why this shouldn't work. Any thoughts?

I noticed there are character packs in the store with the Hero Designer format, what does that mean. If I buy Hero Designer do I have to buy the Fantasy Hero pack, the Advanced Players pack, bestiary pack etc? Just wondering before I make the plunge and wondering the expense of it all. Is there an example of what a character sheet looks like from Hero Designer?

Hello @Simon would it be possible to get skill base characteristic added as a tag for the exporter please: - <!--BASE_CHARACTERISTIC--> Which would return the characteristic used as the base for the skill (e.g. STR, INT, DEX etc) or if none used then "GENERAL". This will enable me to annotate base skill on the character sheet if the player is affected by Drain etc :- Acrobatics 8- (DEX) Science Physics 11- (GENERAL) Science Chemistry 14- (INT)

About a year ago I purchased the Champions Villains Character Pack Bundle. I have used various characters over the year, but when I went to pull up the Ultimates in Volume II there weren't there. In face quite a few of the Teams weren't there. I figured maybe I didn't download the zip file properly, so I went and grabbed it again, but NOPE still not there. Opened up a ticket a couple of days ago, and no response as of yet. Has anyone purchased this and found the same thing or am I special? (Tryied searching the forums for this but wan't able to find anything ) Wildcat Attached is the folders I have in Volume II

Hello @Simon would it be possible to get skill proficiency and familiarity added as tags for the exporter please: - <!--IS_PROFICIENCY--> <!--IS_FAMILIARITY--> So I can add things to the end of the description on export such as: - Acrobatics 8- (familiarity) Deduction 10- (proficiency)

Hi, I'm new to the Champions format and I bought the Character Designer to help me with the process and I was having a hard time finding out how to export my character onto a sheet. Also where do you place your file for your character sheets as I can't seem to find the image I saved for mine. Thanks to all who reply ahead of time.
