To the community: 1: How can you export armor out so you can view it by area, especially with the sectional armor? Working on a Fantasy template. 2: how do you get additional speed to work properly on the phases? When I try it just seems to export the same thing.

Has anyone with Windows 10 had an issue with tear-away tabs? I did it last night on a HP Stream laptop and there was no windows icon to close/min/etc and wouldn't resize - just max out. Had to alt-tab and click to close it.

Back in 2020 I made some NPCs and labelled them 2020 name. New Year I label them 2021 name. BUT... when I go to open file, I can't find them. Open recent will open them just fine, but any new flies tagged 2021 are NOT in the HD file. Eight characters that are somehow in the system, but hidden. Note computer is OLD and I only use it for HD and photo editing (Note: the photo editing works fine and I can save and move photos no problem). But is is disconserting that A program was working fine last year now ups suddenly refuses to work properly! So what gives? and how do I fix it?

So I'm considering a martial arts build, and picking maneuvers. The first few points...25 STR, and 6 HTH DCs, so there's 11 dice. From the HSMA expansion pack... Knife Hand (Kung Fu template). In the book, it's 4 points, -2 OCV, +0 DCV, HKA 1/2 d6...or 2 DCs killing. That's the same as Killing Strike. But apply it to the character...it's saying 5d6 HKA, instead of 4d6+1. So it's giving 4 DCs.

This is a character Counter...no...nor HERO characters It will count the number of characters you write out into the window. This will allow you to type out your info in the box and copy/paste it to Hero Designer. Also help if you only have so much space that you can fill for a character sheet. Yeah I know you can use notepad, word or whatever. Saw a tutorial and figured I'd post it up here when I was done. count.zip

Can you access the Rules section in the .hdc files? I've seen them in there at the end. Where is the Notes for the characteristics and how do you access that and some of the other things in the file? (i.e. color burst, etc)

Hello, I am trying to add a number to a label in the export. I want to 'count' the number of powers as I am exporting, and adding that number to a text label in the export. ex: numPowers= count of powers Power(x)Name, where (x) is replaced with a number as the export loops through the power. I'm creating an export file to output data to be loaded into a 'token' being used in MapTools. Thanks

Here's a quick overview of how to run Hero Designer on a Chromebook. My testing was done on an Asus C434 running Chrome OS 78. I personally ran into a number of issues with Java on Debian Stretch that took my some time to track down so I figured I would share this with others. The magic ingredient for smooth running Hero Designer on Stretch was to pass in -Dsun.java2d.opengl=true as a command line argument... after that all the slowness, artifacting, and UI flickering went away. Assumptions Minimal proficiency with Linux and the the command line Linux (Beta) enabled under Settings Debian Buster installed under Crostini (this is the default…

I'm able to create a Usable On Others Advantage with a cost of +0, but 6e1 p. 353 specifies that UOO has a minimum value of +1/4. Also I noticed that the Usable As Attack shorthand no longer exists in the Usable On Others dropdown. Was this removed? Thanks!

Hero Designer lists the martial maneuver 'Distance Shot' as written in the thread title. Does this take an extra segment or an extra phase as in a delayed effect, or does this actually require the use of two of a character's phases/actions? Or is it both as it would seem from the above description, meaning not only two full turn phases but 'also' an extra segment on top of that?
