I've been rewatching the MCU and noticed something in the Iron Man franchise. Iron Man: Pepper takes out Stane. Iron Man 2: Pepper takes out Hammer. Tony loses to a previous suit worn by a rookie. It takes both Tony and Rhodey to take out Vanko. Iron Man 3: Pepper takes out Killian Aldrich. So, who is the better hero? Pepper or Tony?

So, to make a long story short, I'm working on a personal project that may lead to posting some things on the internet in the fullness of time. I'd like to be able to do so for a reasonable price--being a public school teacher, "reasonable" is best interpreted in this context as "free". I've done a very small amount of research and have located a number of potential hosts: WordPress.com, Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Various sources have listed different pros and cons to each of the above, none of them overwhelmingly swaying my opinion one way or the other. (I've also looked into Google Sites, which I've used in the past …

https://www.themarysue.com/dungeons-dragons-inherently-evil-races-gone/ Fascinating. Probably long overdue. Though the idea of "virtuous" illithids and, uh, demons may take some getting used to. I can't really see the alignment system as currently constituted surviving this. Perhaps some alternative Outlook/Philosophy system?

Hi all - long time no post. So things are not going so well. Oh, I'm not sick or anything. Thankfully. But...my marriage isn't going so well right now. I'm not sure how much I should say in public even anonymously, like this, but PMs would be kind of welcome right about now. I know that's pretty oblique but that's where I am. Some of you may remember a thread I posted a while ago, but things aren't really better. So - how are you all? MrWolf

No, I am not talking about the film although the Abyss knows it should have been cancelled. No, Independence Day for the United States of America has been cancelled. You would think, quite sensibly, that this is because of the Pandemic and making people safe using social distancing. Actually this is not the case. The actual reason is that someone, who shall remain nameless, has thrown a temper tantrum due to lack of attendance at a recent rally(?). Consequently they ordered the National Holiday to be cancelled in a fit of pique. They have also cancelled Presidents Day and instead will have a new holiday on the 14th.June instead which it will be mandatory …

Set your Fanfiction to Stun, it's the Shared Starship Superdraft! ! In this draft, we will collectively draft a crew and ship for them to fly. A big ship. This draft was inspired by Star Trek, so think a deep space capital ship, rather than a little smuggling vessel. Individually, we will draft episodes, the encounters our shared ship will come across. The Roster: ONE (1) Crewmember. Includes the position and the individual. Both are exclusive. If someone drafts Pilot - Kara "Starbuck" Thrace , then the ship has one main pilot, and Starbuck is it. Characters must be drafted from something professionally published. ONE (1)…

I ask forgiveness if this triggers anyone The problem in this country is not racism (It still struggles with it, but it is a minor issue) It is Economic classism However, when you look at the economic situation you find that...It really should be #poorlivesmatter I am just so sick of it. Until we deal with THOSE issues, and frame them AS SUCH we ain't gaining an inch

Suppose that people discover an exoplanet that is totally water. In and of this itself is nothing unusual since we have discovered great quantities of it in Sol System already. The strange thing is that we send probes there and discover life - and some turns out to be intelligent! Some questions come to mind: Appearance - What will they look like? Food - How do they consume their food: cooked or raw? If cooked, how do they cook it underwater? Religion(s) - What form of religious belief systems will they possess: primary, secondary, etc gods, angels, demons, heavens, hells, afterlife, etc. Tools - If they use tools, what form…

Posting out of curiosity and a desire to read a bit outside of my somewhat known "bubble": what do folks think of the History Channel's Grant miniseries? I'm in the town that he (and 8 other generals) called home both before and after the Civil War (aka locally The War of the Rebellion), so our perspective on things is slightly skewed. That said, I thought the series did an admirable job of showing a man who was trying to do good but (at times) betrayed by his belief that others were equally as good/just...which is to say, a good person (and an arguably brilliant general for his time), but not the greatest of politicians. Curious to hear other takes.

Internet went down. Still haven't figured problem with provider. But I got a smartphone. Probably won't post much as typing on this thing is frustrating. But will lurk some. I will hopefully get problem solved in a few weeks. But other more important household things needed solving first. This solves it temporarily
