This is for my Bat Team campaign. She's the third cat burglar to be known as Catwoman. Unlike the others, she didn't give herself the name. Instead, the police and press gave it to her when a victim commented "she moved like a cat". She's a metahuman whose agility, sense of balance, sight, and hearing are greatly enhanced. Her garb is typical of cat burglars, a black turtleneck sweater, jeans, running shoes and socks, leather gloves, ski mask, and jacket. Her gear varies from job to job, but some of it is the same (a multipower and a variable power pool). Since she has a 20-point code vs killing, she uses only non-lethal weapons. Additionally…

OK, according to some write ups it is a Flash NND, but that does not seem to cover it all, so first let us define what tear gas is and does so we can better model it.

I admit it. I'm batty. Batman was pursuing Joker when an explosion occurred. The Dark Knight was thrown back onto some metal rods, which pierced his heart. He was pronounced dead, at the scene, by a doctor, who then unmasked him, revealing that Batman was Bruce Wayne. In Wayne Manor, Alfred watched the news in shock before remembering that he had to retrieve the Batmobile (the Tumbler), secure the Batcave and switch the phone lines to a monitoring system that had been installed for just this purpose. When Bruce's will was read, there were provisions for funding, through the Wayne Foundation, a superhero team, based in Wayne Manor and the Batcave,…

Hello, friends... breaking my trend to talk equipment in here, I thought I'd tap into the creative set round these parts. I've been playing in a very wide monster hunterstyle game which made me realize what that title means and I a.m suddenly full of imagery from movies and comics and my brain. I cannot draw worth poo, but I can at least communicate a bit. Very common images: liquid fire in varying colors from a variety of sources, lots of shadow with contrasting light, gothic feel, and a mixture of modern and archaic technology. Specific images: English broadsword held horizontally while drenched in liquid fire in the hand of a dark figure in a trenchcoat over archa…

Hi. I'm new to the system and I wanted to start a new dark champions: the animated series campaign, with 250-point superhero characters. However, I'm not quite sure about what limits to enforce during character creation. There are some suggestions in the sourcebook (like no more than 10 PD(6 rPD)) but I was wondering what you guys thought. What works for you? I mean, if a combat oriented superhero brick is less resistant to damage than people with a bulletproof jacket, won't he want to wear a bulletproof jacket regularly? He has the strength to carry it without penalties... How would I justify his not being able to purchase it as a power? So, what limits do you …

This thread will be detailing some of the NPCs in my ongoing Dark Champions FREELancers game. The FREELancers (stands for Fast Reaction/Experimental Espionage) are heroes for hire, and have contracts with municipal, state and fedeal agencies to supplement police forces, and offer disaster relief. They also carry out investigations, security operations and offer their considerable scientific expertise in a variety of areas, thanks to the gadgeteers on their staff. They will work for private citizens, but all their work must be "legal". They also do work abroad for other governments and individuals/organizations outside the US, but their work must be compliant with US restr…

I'm running a Firefly campaign, and to encourage a more cinematic mindset I've decided to experiment with the Luck Chit system as used by RDU Neil in his "Secret Worlds" campaign. However, as thoroughly as I've (attempted) to search through his Secret World campaign logs, Reboot and Original, I cannot actually find an explanation of the fullness of the system. I've found explanations of individual parts or references to particular instances, but not the entirety of the system. I've sent RDU Neil a message, but either he's busy/hasn't received it/hasn't noticed it (I've done that enough times, Lord knows), and so in the meantime I've just been winging it. Do…

Here is my first attempt at adapting characters from film. I love this movie and have seen it probably ten times. I own it on DVD and I once watched it end to end three times in a row. I was just in the zone that day. Let me know what you think. I wrote these guys as competent normals, within a few points. They are good at their jobs, but not superhuman.

I have been a big fan of the A-10 Warthog ever since I was a boy, part of the allure being its big freaking auto-cannon, the GAU-8 Avenger. A seven barrel, 30mm Gatling-style rotary cannon with a top rate of fire of 3,900 rounds per minute. I would like to include this aircraft in a game, and I want to get the cannon right, but I can't find anything that seems right. Such a high rate of fire would translate into a ridiculous Auto-Fire, and would require a lot of PSL's to compensate for the OCV penalties. I thought about consolidating many individual rounds into one, more powerful, "attack", so that it could just be autofire x5, but that doesn't seem quite right, eithe…

Thought that this question would fit here as well as anywhere else..... If an Admiral was needing a personal pilot to operate a vehicle he was going to be traveling on/in, what rank does modern protocol say is needed for the pilot ? I mean, I wouldn't expect (except under extreme circumstances) for a staff pilot to be less than a lieutenant. But that is just going by my very limited exposure to such things. Anyone with more armed services knowledge have any info they could share ? Thanks. -Carl-

Hello all- I created a login to talk to you guys, I've played HERO a bit but never been on these boards before (other than to lurk and browse). I wanted some feedback on a campaign concept that's been wandering about my head for a few weeks. I've found a few players who expressed an interest so I figure it's time to start laying the foundation. My basic concept is a modification of the Shadowrun world, with cybertechnology, huge megacorps, and general dystopian societal backdrop with supers appearing as mutants (as in X-men, etc.) For those of you familiar with Shadowrun, I will not be including magic (unless we're talking mutant powers that manifest as "magic"…

<> Inspired by the visuals discussed in this thread ( http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60372 ) I got to wondering how to build the following: A high level heroic character draws a handgun and prepares to fire at an opponent. At the last moment, a bystander gets in what would be the bullets path. The PC fires anyway and, by use of a special weapons manipulation technique, is able to have the bullet dodge around the bystander and strike his intended target. My initial idea is to go with Indirect in some way. But doesn't that have to be bought for each attack ? The idea of this skill is that, once learned, can be appl…
