Site Questions

I purchased several pdfs, one of them--Book of the Empress--is listed as unavailable and when the link is clicked an error message occurs. I purchased on 6/23 and have sent in messages to support twice, once on 6/23 and then again a couple or so days later. I have not received a reply and the issue is still ongoing. It was Order# 17664. Everything else downloaded as expected. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hello, I was wondering if I could get some help with my password for this site. When I originally set up my account, I linked it to my Verizon email. Well several years later and I want to change where my password would go to (I use gmail) and I can’t remember how to access my Verizon account nor does my wife. I was wondering if it would be possible for a moderator to change it to my gmail account? Thanks in advance.

I'm having a weird access issue while I am at home and using an old iPad with its native Safari browser, which is pretty much the only way I get in from home for the last 5 years plus. It started this morning. When I try to access the root page of the NGD forum in this way, I get "This community is not available" that doesn't seem like it comes from the Hero Games site at all. But ... I did not see this at all during the day (about 8AM to 3:15 PM PST) while I was at my desktop machine at my office during that interval. A suggestion for the store, ability to filter / display products to show what is new or show a data range.

Hi all! Im having a tough time figuring out how to download prefabs. It gives me the option to download the content, but when I select to download content, I have a display that asks "what app do you want to open this with?". Can anyone tell me which "app" I need to use to download the prefabs? Thank you for any information!

Is it possible to add an option in the user preferences for turning off the annoying confirmation dialogs that pop up every time I click on either "Mark forum read" or "Mark site read"? I don't ever click on those by accident and so I don't need to be asked if I really, really mean it every time. An option to turn this irritating behavior off would be very welcome.

The Mobile forum home link now takes you to the site home page rather than the top of the forum. This is a horrible change. Could this be reverted?

I was trying to access my store>client area, and it gave me an error that the webpage does not exist. Has anyone else noticed this?

The PDFs available on DriveThru RPG (and presumably also in HERO's online store) for 1st and 2nd edition Champions currently have the wrong front and back covers. Back in late February, the PDFs on DriveThru were correct but misnamed (and so assigned to the wrong product in the store): "1st edition" had a complete and correct PDF of 2nd edition, and "2nd edition" was the complete PDF of 1st edition. I contacted DriveThru to let them know about that misnaming problem, and the PDFs were updated on March 7. I assumed then that the problem was fixed, but now that I've re-downloaded the PDFs, I see that it was mostly fixed but with the cover problem introduced. …

Is everyone else seeing my avatar as a broken image icon?

Is there any way for Hero to offer a torrent of the backed-up forums (minus all the Off-Topic stuff), or a standard solution for us to do the archiving ourselves that works with this forums software? The "purge" statement says that old threads will be deleted: that's 14 years of posts, pretty much the entire modern history of the game. All those rules discussions, character builds, official rulings, etc being lost would be a terrible blow to the system and its fans, IMHO.

As the Subject says. E.g www.paizo.com where every one of the products they sell, both 1st and 3rd party, each have a dedicated forum thread. When a new product is added to the site ahead of release date (or Kickstarter date for HERO), it provides a place to collect discussion. Also, even for existing products, it's a place to discuss the best use one got out of Enemies III etc. My own recent efforts to find a Champions/HERO group her in Raleigh-Durham NC have led me to realize I need to be the GM because the interest is coming primarily from players unfamiliar with HERO, or first time playing a superhero RPG. Is there any way to download the content of a thread in some basic text file format? I posted a bunch of "actual play" content years ago, and I've now lost the original text files, but would love to just download the thread posts. Is that at all possible? Thanks!

I purchased a number of the Meriquai Falls PDFs advertised on the front page. All of them download fine except Live-Wire, for which there is no download link.

I see you guys are selling Hero System volume 2 in the onsite store but have it listed as having a damaged cover. I would like to know how damaged before I think about buying it. Can I have more information on that?

It looks like the option to change fonts within posts has gone away as a drop down item. I liked being able to use a monospaced font to post character writeups, since it keeps everything aligned without resorting to a code tag (which can result in horizontal scroll bars that aren't desirable). Is there a way to change a font manually within a post, like a tag, for example? EDIT: I just posted a character from a text file, and the default font seems to be decent enough, so this is no biggie. (But I'll still take any working font tags anyone knows of. )

It's reached the point it's so annoying I'm just turning notifications off for this site now. I can't see any way to unsubscribe from it. I think it's because it's pinned, maybe? Does that force you to be subscribed to a thread?
