Has anyone played Lucha Libre Hero? I have it but can't find anyone willing to play it, which I find surprising because it combines everything fun about super heroes, spies, monster movies, horror, and sci-fi all in one rollicking, fast-paced action genre. Do you find most RPGs take their games WAY too seriously and that's the issue? That's the problem I'm finding: players who think superhero games should all be "grim and gritty" and full of antiheroes and refuse to do anything light or somewhat campy. --Kap

Hi, folks. After seeing so many music videos and movie trailer mashups with the new My Little Pony show, I decided to have an open mind and watch the pilot . . . yep, I got hooked. One of the things which attracted me is that the show depicts a world with wild untamed areas, dangers, and monsters--in other words, a world suitable for gaming. Accordingly, I'm trying my hand a writeup for the three main types of ponies. The Physical Complication: Quadrapedal that I'm using is supposed to reflect that while the ponies can use their front hooves to manipulate things, they still need all four legs to walk or run properly, and also the fact that their body plan m…

I'm posting this for a friend who's not a board member. He's in the initial planning stages for a setting that will involve a premise similar to the Matrix, specifically that humanity is being held in a "virtual reality", a simulated existence generated and maintained by a possible hostile force. As such he wanted to get some opinion on what issues may have put people off the Matrix films. What things felt like plot holes or were insignificantly explained and let to issues with suspension of disbelief. How could things have been done differently to make the setting more believable (though not necessarily "realistic").

The Discovery Channel has a show called The Colony where it follows a group of survivors trying to survive in a simulated post-apocolyotic setting. I just started watching season one on Netflix On Demand. I was doing the mission with the whole rescue the helicopter pilot and when this guy started attacking one of the last guy. Thinking that he was trying to steal the mission, I automatically grabbed the mission. He then sent me an IM saying thanks for the team invite. I did not catch that right away as I was kinda busy. So I then attempted to say sorry but he had put me on ignore and I could not invite him to a team. I feel bad that I assumed the worse of his behavior but on the same note, seems a little trifling to put me on ignore for that.

For October only, I generate a synopisis of something for Horror Hero, and evin a name. You watched bad horror movies, now play in them. Name: Clownavor. Place: A clown colage, in a far away from cilivation place. The Monster: Clownavore, a clown eating alien. Well, acualy, it eats anything, including clowns. The Situation: Is curently tanning on the Jersy Shore. Meanwhile, the heros (and a few canon fodder extras) are spending a night celebrating before leaving the Bumbling Brothers Clown Colage, which thay all graduate. One disgrunted ex-member of your class decides to return with guns blazing (literly). Unforcently for HIM, he becomes the first victom of the…

Possessed houses are the staple of many horror movies and television shows. But how would you build one? The house should be intelligence and probably have an EGO, so would you build a "base" and then an AI or would you build it as a character? I'm not that familiar with bases, computers, and AI's as I'd like to be. So any help would be valuable.

OK, started out with a simple (or not so) HD question and ended up hashing campaign ideas for Fallout. Of primary concern is how to handle radiation so that it models Fallout and is simple to implement. the original thread is here: http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/81665-Charicteristic-Max-Values-for-Normal-Maxima?p=2065153#post2065153 Of interest is mudpyr8's resources (He's been running Fallout at cons): http://www.legendsmiths.com/adventures/fallout EDIT (1-30-2011) This thread has just gained it's 3rd page, so I've decided to re-post some of the links here so you don't have to search the thread for them. I will update the links from time …

^^ Fixing to spend some Cryptic points. Wondering if I can customize the color on the Kirby dot Heroic Flight power? Nevermind, just found out Silver accounts can't customize power colors. Now, if they had that option in the store, they could have made THREE sales off me potentially.

Soap Opera Hero (Will Valerie find out that her lover is secretly Mechanon? Will Takahide Yakamura ever recover from his Sacrifice Throw induced Coma? Find out this and much more on... "As the Dice Roll!") XXX Hero (No more needs to be said... Well, it has nothing to do with Vin Diesel or the State of the Union.) Happy Tree Hero (Again... The less said, the better)

I haven't really sat down and tried to learn to play CO since it's gone FTP, but figured I may start a new character today. I've only got access to the 8 free to play archetypes: Inferno, Mind, Grimoire, Marksman, Glacier, Blade, Behemoth, Soldier. Are any of these better designed overall than the others? Are any of these so badly designed that they should be avoided? Are any of these early bloomers or late bloomers? I prefer early, since I'll probably level fairly slowly. Are any particularly suited to or unsuited to solo play? I prefer solo capability, since I play for very short sessions a lot of the time due to the medical stuff.

my main, Enforcer, is probably looking at the orbital base. That's just too cool for school. I do have alts that might find the others worthy. Even Mom's basement. ...or I might have to make someone who has Mom's basement.

I was reading a thread about the (extreme) height of the NPCs in CO, and one of the game's artists posted this pic showing the heights of various NPCs: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2147/5704258452_27088133c7_o.jpg I thought Sapphire was just a tad on the tall side! (How tall is she in 6e Champs? Did she put on a growth spurt? )
