Minimum Damage From Injuries: Added or floor?
I'm having a bit of trouble resolving the text on 6e2p103, under Minimum Damage From Injuries. Is this additional STUN the attack deals as a result of dealing BODY, or is it a minimum on the STUN the attack deals after normal Defense? Say Defenseless Dave with 0 PD is punched by Angry Andy for 2 BODY 2 STUN. Does Dave take 2 STUN, the total rolled on the attack after defenses, or does Dave take 2+2 STUN, the total rolled on the attack after defenses plus the BODY taken?

Desolid and buying STR Affects Phys World
Rules explicitly state that, if you take Desolid, and apply Affects Physical World to your STR, then the extra damage from Martial Maneuvers applies as well. And +1 DC is listed as a martial maneuver in the table on p. 82...so they would apply. Which clearly can become quite ugly, as damage is now cheap. But this is one reason why Desolid is a Stop! power. The question is...what about HAs? If I've got my STR bought with APW, do I need to buy APW with my HA or HKA?

Martial grab and crush
I am just wondering (and perhaps over thinking this) if you have a Crush maneuver that follows a grab and miss, I know that you don’t lose the grab. However do you still retain the strength bonus of a martial grab? We always played this way but lately thinking about balance, if don’t automatically hit with crush cause it’s a separate maneuver I would think that a miss (or even hit) you should lose your martial strength bonus since now you’re doing a separate maneuver.

Susceptibility over time
Say a character buys a susceptibility to some normally instant effect, like being hit with blessed items. What happens if a part of the blessed weapon gets embedded in the character? Do they take damage over segments or phases? Or is instant always just a single occurrence?

Absorption and Vulnerability
Does absorption come before or after vulnerability multiples? Ex: Wile E Coyote take 2x Body damage from large boulders but has 20 pts Absorption into Body. A 10d6 large boulder falls on top of him and does 10 Body. Does he absorb 10 Body or 20 Body?

Increasing Autofire hits with Levels
What is the rules-official way to buy levels with successive hits of an autofire attack? Specifically, I'm trying to get to one additional hit for every single point (not two points) without raising my base OCV to insane levels. Can PSLs be used? If not, do I need 2 point levels for each successive 'attack'? Could I use levels for a larger 'group' of attacks?

aid Increase Aid Maximum
Nevermind. I found the following on page 107 of Champions Complete. INCREASED MAXIMUM EFFECT Applies To: Positive Adjustment Powers and Cumulative powers Value: +¼ per doubling Doubles the Power’s maximum effect. Is there a way in Hero 6th Edition to increase the maximum amount you can Aid with the Aid power without increasing the number of dice. For Example: You purchase Aid STR which can aid the character a maximum amount of STR of 18. Is there any advantage you can use to perhaps increase the maximum amount of the Aid to say 36 without increasing the number of dice. The reason is I am looking for a way th…

Silly teleport questions
If a fixed location, say at the office of a blue furry demon on the 3rd floor of a building, is destroyed, say the Hulk decimated the building, then 1) Does the owner of the fixed location instantly know that the fixed location is gone or do they have to wait till they try and teleport and fail? 2) Given that the fixed location is gone and the owner of the power still wants a fixed location, does the player need to have gone to the new location to affix the new location? I.E. Our blue friend has been to his new office but didn't know his old office had a Hulk standing in it smashing a god of mischief around. When he finds out his old office is g…

6e Errata missing from forums
Hi Steve, In late 2017 you posted a stickied thread containing 6e errata. In early 2018 you then updated the 6E Errata 01-01-2018.pdf file linked within that thread. As of today, clicking on the 6E Errata 01-01-2018.pdf link within that thread yields an error that reads: Sorry, there is a problem The page you requested does not exist Error code: 1S160/2 Would you kindly update the stickied thread to address this problem such that we can once again obtain the 6e errata document from the relevant thread? Thanks in advance!

Damage Class and Damage
I must be missing something as I can find nowhere in the Champions Complete book that says how the number of Damage Classes affects damage. I thought there might be a table or a calculation somewhere but I can't find anything. I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Valid Trigger Conditions
Hi Steve, In regards to the Trigger advantage (specifically as used in the "Instant Change" power build in 6e1, p307, sidebar) what condition(s) would not be suitable? It is my current (and possibly incorrect) understanding that it can be basically "Whenever I Want To Change Costumes" (though limited by the rules for Zero-Phase Actions). Also, is the PER Roll to spot a Trigger usually waived for dramatic effect for this use? It'd be a bad disguise if people could detect the Instant Change ability of Superman.

Special Combat Maneuvers
Greetings, I am working to create some Combat Maneuvers for a Mounted Calvary Knight. Something like a "move through" Attack and such, but only usable when he is on his mount. How would I best represent this? Also, Are penalty skill levels, with limitations of "take extra time", the best way to represent "aiming" with a ranged weapon of some sort? So that a person may take extra phases to "aim"with a ranged weapon for a vital area? Thanks in advance.

Invisibility and Obvious focii
I understand if an obvious focus is used to turn invisible, the obvious focus stays visible. What if you buy invisible power effects on the invisibility? Does that make the focus invisible too?

Constant non-attacks and attacking
My character has Darkness to Sight with Personal Immunity, Reduced to Zero END and No Range. Combat starts and he activates it and wants to fire his Energy Blast. 1) Darkness is a Constant Attack power. Can I use my Energy Blast as a separate attack while the Darkness is active? 2) Would Uncontrolled and/or Persistent change that answer to "Yes" if it was "No"? 3) If still "No", what would be needed to allow the Darkness and Energy Blast to both be used? 4) Do the previous answers apply if the power is Change Environment or Images (or other non-attack type powers)? 5) Do the previous answers apply if the power is an Area-effecting, damag…

AOE end cost of growth at huge or larger
When you obtain growth at the huge level or larger, your strength gets an AoE advantage (accounting for the huge leap in cost). Is that AoE advantage at 0 end or not? I am also wondering if the AOE on the strength means I have to pro-rate my strength to compensate for the AoE.

Damage Over Time - long time
If I make a power with Damage Over Time with a long time between increments (say, 1 hour; -2 value), and apply the Target's defenses only apply once (x2) modifier, I presume it is not a -4 modifier at that point and should instead be a -1? Note this is referring to just the interaction of TDOAO and Increments of longer than every turn.

Weapon elements
If a character has paid character points for a weapon, do they need to buy a Weapon Element to use martial art maneuvers both barehand and with that weapon? (Assume a superheroic setting, if it makes a difference.)

Addendum to Multipower Question
This is an addendum to Hugh Neilson's question(Dec 28, 2019). Part of it is clarification that strength from a multipower slot can add to HA/HKA in another slot as it applies to other powers. Most of these questions come from the argument that there is no reason to ever buy a variable slot in a multipower as its much more cost effective to buy several fixed slots of the same but varying power. (you can look at the forum discussion here). The arguments are all just RaW, not by GM fiat, as the GM is the final arbiter of any game. 1) Is there a limit when slots adds to an outside power? For example, can one buy a 1d6 blast outside the multipower and then have…

Does Absorption Happen Before or After Damage Negation?
If a character has both Damage Negation and Absorption, does the Damage Negation apply before or after the Absorption? For Example: If a character has 3 levels of Damage Negation and Absorption which of the following is true for an attack that does 10 BODY: 1st) The Damage Negation Comes first so the max amount that can be absorbed is 7 (10 - 3 = 7). 2nd) The Damage Negation Comes after the Absorption so the max amount that can be absorbed is 10.

Defensive Absorption Maxxed ... Still Defends?
Yeah, clumsy title. Anyway ... if you've got Absorption usable as a Defense, does it stop functioning as a defense if your Absorption is maxed out? E.G. Character as 20 base PD and 10 Physical Absorption As Defense. He's absorbed 20 points of incoming BODY ... is his PD 20 or 30 from here?

Multipower - Same Power, Multiple Slots
I think at least one older edition included a rule that the same power could not be purchased multiple times as separate slots in the same multipower. It appears this restriction did not make it to 6e. This seems to open the system up to, say a 60 point MP pool with Fixed slots like: - 6 slots of +10 PD - 6 slots of +10 ED - 6 slots of +2 OCV - 6 slots of +2 DCV I doubt this would slip by most GM,s, who would require 1 Flexible slot for each of +60 PD, +60 ED, +12 OCV and +12 DCV (doubling the total cost of slots). However, the statement on 6e v1 p 399 below seems to indicate the above approach is book-legal. …

Concentration 1/2 DCV Question
When using a power that has the Concentration 1/2 DCV Limitation on it would the 1/2 DCV include any skill levels added to the character's DCV as well. For Example: A character with a DCV of 6 adds 4 skill levels to his DCV. Would his DCV when halved become 7 (6/2+4) or Would his DCV when halved become 5 ((6+4)/2)

Grab&Throw -MultiAttack
Good Morning Steve, I was just curious of a rules question. I understand that if I grab an opponent and immediately throw the opponent I can do that in that phase. If I want to use the opponent as a missile to hit another opponent, then I need to wait till my next phase. I hit me (yeah I’m going to use that pun) though if I really wanted use that opponent in the same phase as the Grab, I could declare a multiattack-since I’m allowed to mix HTH and Ranged attacks. I’m just checking to see if I got a handle on MultiAttack as RAW. Btw I finally got 6th Vol 1&2, 👍. I really enjoy your philosophy on gaming. (Which I had a sense of before).

How noticable are extra time actions in powers?
How noticeable are extra time actions in powers? For instance: When going non-combat with teleport, is it very obvious that they are trying to go non-combat teleport or can say a villain cover the action with a CHA based skill to distract a hero from noticing? Or when memorizing a location using the floating teleport destination, how obvious is it that the teleporter is memorizing a t-port spot? Or when taking extra time for a skill which doesn't have a physical component, like trying to remember the exact definition of Lévy's modulus of continuity theorem?
