I was a big player in the 5th edition era and have most of the sourcebooks (I'm already regretting the few I gave away). I even got several of the 6th ed books when they came out. But I took a hiatus and now that I come back, 8 or 9 years later, I see nothing new. Was Complete Fantasy the last book published? Did 6E just kill the line? What happened while I was away? Is there anything in the works that I don't know about (other than the Drivethru DMsguild thing)?

Hello, I'm new to Hero and i was wondering - will we see a reprint of the 2 volume Set of the 6th Edition rules soon or will we get a 7th Edition instead (the 6th Ed. is 6 years old, iirc)? I know there are some genre books that contain the rules but i would like to buy a generic, overall version of the rules, if at all possible. So do we know if there is a reprint of the 6th Ed. or if there is a 7th Ed. in planning? I know there is a basic rules book and that there are pdfs of the 2 volume set. But i am not a pdf user and as i said, if at all possible i want the full rules. I checked stores and second hand dealers but most of the time, Volume 1 is not in stock a…

So as I understand it, Champions Complete contains within it the core Hero System rules combined with superhero genre material like the Champions rulebooks of old. I'm curious how the system rules in CC compare to the rules in Hero System Basic. Both sound like streamlined versions of the "full" rules found in 6E1/6E2, but how do they differ? As a side question, are Fantasy Hero Complete and Star Hero Complete intended, conceptually anyway, to be like Champions Complete in structure, at least insofar as they contain the system rules in addition to genre material? If so, is it just me or does this sound very familiar (i.e., Champions, Fantasy Hero, and Star Hero from t…

Spotted on the Hero Games FB Page: https://highrockpress.com/blogs/news/high-rock-press-production-schedule-2 Production Schedule Below is the production schedule for High Rock Press over the next year or so. Sorry we couldn’t post it in a more attractive manner, but it should be informative enough! A few notes. The term “track” means a crowdfunding method. “Track One” refers to the High Rock press Kickstarter account, which will be used for “big” projects of between $20,000 and $40,000. “Track Two” refers to the old Blackwyrm Publishing Kickstarter account, which will be used for “small” projects of between $3,000 and $5,000. “Track Three” refers to the as-of-ye…

So I've been following Hero System since right before the release of 5th Edition. Right after I finally got around to running my first (and sadly, only) Hero game, 5th Edition was replaced by 6th Edition. After many years I'm finally committing to getting my long-term gaming group into Hero, and I've just heard a rumor that 6th Edition books are going out of print. Is this true? If so, what is the future of Hero?

I used 4e since it came out in 1989 up until I stopped role-playing in the early 2000s, so 5e wasn't even on my radar. There's no way I can afford to track down and buy everything produced for 5e, so which supplements are most useful for someone who has everything produced for 4e and 6e?

Or, for that matter, 3E? If so what were they? I have most of the 5E and 6E PDFs but 4E was the game I started with.

Hello, i am playing HERO from 5th edition revised, i am trying to introduce HERO 6th edition to as many RPG players as i can and recently bought Champions and Fantasy complete for 2 of them, they really like the books but my personal opinion is that is very difficult to play/ understand the book without having the 6E1 and 6E2 books nearby.Things like computing damage classes for advantaged power(and why you do so), or adding damage or even minimum damage are so minimally worded and without examples in the complete books that if these are your first and only HERO 6th edition you have to resort to the forums to clarify them or have an INT score of 20+ to work them out on yo…

I am wondering if there are any plans to release a 6e version of Dark Champions or Pulp Hero. 6e has been out for several years, but there are so many 5e books that are begging to be updated. Yes, the 6e books are pretty complete in terms of rules and I can improvise quite a bit, but I would like to see an updated version of the Dark Champions and Pulp Hero books.

I have been a long time gamer(around 25 years) and played many different games. D&D was my go to for a REALLY LONG time but when 4th edition came out I was turned off of it.One of my friends found some stuff about the Hero System and we have been looking at it for some time. I have another group that is presently in a 5E campaign, yes still playing D&D just not my go to, that I believe is going to fall through with the DM but most of the group wants to keep playing SOMETHING and if I have to run something I'd like it to be Hero System. The issue is that some of us are old school and want to have physical books, especially at the gaming table, but it ap…

I have almost everything from the first few editions of Champions ... Island of Dr. Destroyer, Strike Force, AC #1, first ed rules, the GM screen, etc. (I sold Wings of the Valkyrie ages ago though!) There's very little in PDF form on sites like drivethrurpg.com. Is there a way to get PDFs for these?

That book by Mike Surbrook that was promised a long ways back (my memory fails me, as does the Search function) Is there any chance of this coming out in some format? It was at the top of my purchase list and I was really looking forward to it. Anyone else feel the same way?
