I just found out about the 6th edition books after a loooooong hiatus. Does anyone know how to get copies of the two core books at this point?

I just got outbid on eBay by Steven S. Long for a copy of Hero System 6E1. What in the world does that mean?! Any guesses?

Good Morning Everybody, For a easier character sheet generation for Fantasy Hero, I was asking to my self if for the Grimoire (6th edition) the hero design files are available... I've found the files of "Hero Fantasy" but I would like to get the Grimoire as well as already done for the handbook "Powers". Thanks for your feedback.

Hello, I am a gamer from way back. I have Champions 1st, 2nd and 3rd edition. I have been looking at some of the newer products. I have picked up the 4th and 5th edition sourcebooks. There seems to be quite a few new power advantages, but no list of the specific effects of these advantages. In particular I see penetrating and persistent a lot but I cannot find exactly what they do/mean. My question: Is there a comprehensive list of Power advantages and disadvantages for Champions? And if so where can I find it?

Hello, I'm new to Hero and i was wondering - will we see a reprint of the 2 volume Set of the 6th Edition rules soon or will we get a 7th Edition instead (the 6th Ed. is 6 years old, iirc)? I know there are some genre books that contain the rules but i would like to buy a generic, overall version of the rules, if at all possible. So do we know if there is a reprint of the 6th Ed. or if there is a 7th Ed. in planning? I know there is a basic rules book and that there are pdfs of the 2 volume set. But i am not a pdf user and as i said, if at all possible i want the full rules. I checked stores and second hand dealers but most of the time, Volume 1 is not in stock a…

I am interested in buying the Book of the Empress but between shipping costs and customs I imagine the price will be double the price tag or so. I was wondering if you have any European distributors for latest Champions stuff. I might buy some more books as well, need to ask my friends tonight but right now I am interested in that one.

Just going through this supplement I noticed a couple of things with The Bolshevik Boys, pages 144-146. First: Red Hammer. This sheet seems incomplete. It says Char 124 + Powers 89 equal 213. But the powers section only adds up to 45, not 89. There's 44 points of missing powers/skills/perks/talents. Second: Red Ice-Sickle: This sheet is completely missing. Anybody out there have the complete sheets of the above?

That book by Mike Surbrook that was promised a long ways back (my memory fails me, as does the Search function) Is there any chance of this coming out in some format? It was at the top of my purchase list and I was really looking forward to it. Anyone else feel the same way?

Hero Games is proud to present a supplement for Pulp Hero, Champions, and Dark Champions by Blackwyrm Publishing that is... Larger Than Life! Heroes, villains, legends … the folklore of America features all of this and more. In this volume you can find pirates and soldiers, lumberjacks and steel drivers, mountain men and lawmen, cowboys, Indians, inventors, and eccentrics. All of whom are just waiting to be included in your campaign! And don’t let the time period fool you, just because these characters existed in the 18th and 19th Centuries, doesn’t mean you can’t use them in your Pulp Hero, Champions, Dark Champions, or even Star Hero campaigns! After all, these charact…

Looking at plopping down the $2 (But have to wait to get my wallet back that is in my car that I loaned to someone) for this, and wondering if it is worth it. I am looking specifically at two of the templates (The Caped Crusader and Themed hero). I have been working on a project related to these two types so think it might or might not be worth it (Ok it's only $2). I just wondered what others had thought of it...

So, I have a deep and enduring love of Post-Apocalyptic settings. The Fallout series, Mad Max in all of its gonzo absurd glory, Wasteland (which IMO, kind of splits the conceptual difference between those first two), the weirdness of Nier, and so on. I've got a setting that I've been working on for 5 or so years -- when I remember it exists -- that I've never run anything with. Partially because endless tinkering is a thing, and partially because I never really found a system that really clicked for me. One of the types of games I wanted to run was a scrappy, survival-based game with lots of cover-based combat, drawing heavily on the excellent Jagged Alliance 2 in te…

Dean Shomshak here, writer and publisher of Spells of the Devachan, Shared Origins: Sky-Q and Shared Origins: The Dynaton under license from HERO and on sale through the HERO Store. I also hope to sell them through DriveThruRPG, but after reading their site I feel I should ask if anyone's had any problems with the illustrations or other aspects of my PDFs. Like, DriveThruRPG recommends 150 dpi resolution on illustrations; I use 300. Also, I don't know how to embed fonts in a PDF (me big tech dummy) so I use little illustrations for the headers. (If you save the file as text you can see the original text headers and codes.) Do these show up okay? I'm particularly conce…

Are there plans for a % off sale for 5e books? Or a coupon code/promo code?

Or, for that matter, 3E? If so what were they? I have most of the 5E and 6E PDFs but 4E was the game I started with.

Hi there: I'm a librarian with sort of a strange question. This year's national summer reading program is superhero themed, and I'm looking to put together an art activity where very young kids can design their own elaborately powered superhero. What I'm looking for is a rule book, ANY rule book, that includes icons for superhero powers, so that a kid as young as four who, say, wants their hero to fly can just pick up the "wing" icon, even they can't read the word flight just yet. Obviously, whatever I get I'll have to jigger around tremendously to make work, but the key here are icons. Would any of your books easily work for this purpose? Appreciatively,…

I used 4e since it came out in 1989 up until I stopped role-playing in the early 2000s, so 5e wasn't even on my radar. There's no way I can afford to track down and buy everything produced for 5e, so which supplements are most useful for someone who has everything produced for 4e and 6e?

I am wondering if there are any plans to release a 6e version of Dark Champions or Pulp Hero. 6e has been out for several years, but there are so many 5e books that are begging to be updated. Yes, the 6e books are pretty complete in terms of rules and I can improvise quite a bit, but I would like to see an updated version of the Dark Champions and Pulp Hero books.

So as I understand it, Champions Complete contains within it the core Hero System rules combined with superhero genre material like the Champions rulebooks of old. I'm curious how the system rules in CC compare to the rules in Hero System Basic. Both sound like streamlined versions of the "full" rules found in 6E1/6E2, but how do they differ? As a side question, are Fantasy Hero Complete and Star Hero Complete intended, conceptually anyway, to be like Champions Complete in structure, at least insofar as they contain the system rules in addition to genre material? If so, is it just me or does this sound very familiar (i.e., Champions, Fantasy Hero, and Star Hero from t…

Are we going to get a sixith edition book that gives updated information on stronghold? I know there was a book before all about stronghold, but not sure if it is still valid.

I just got the 6e version of Hero System Bestiary, and coming from the 4e one, I'm amazed. It's what the bestiary for every universal RPG should be, but rarely is. Excellent work, and highly recommended.

6th ed Skills book vs 5th ed Ultimate skill I have the 5th edition book Is there really enough difference between the 2 to warrant getting the 6th ed pdf? also is the 6th ed Skills Hero Complete compliant?

I see that Champions Complete is something like the 4e BBB, but I can't tell if the 6e Champions product is along the same lines or if it's a genre book. And how much of the info from the 6e product Champions Universe is in either of those books?
