I have a couple game ideas rattling around in my head and need some help deciding which to focus on. One such idea is a city-level (to start) supers game. This wouldn't be set in the Champions Universe, and would rely heavily on PC backgrounds/disadvantages to mold plots/subplots. Rough details: Set in San Francisco, California, in a universe that closely resembles our own, plus Supers(!) Expect to spend some time RPing both in and out of costume. I would prefer to play in MapTool, but will go with Roll20 if consensus demands it. Voice via Discord. I prefer Hero 5e, but if enough people prefer it, I ca…

Been a while since I have played so figured I would see if any games out there are looking for another player. I am looking for a 6th edition game (I have the core book for 5th but I have only ever played 6th) and I am leaning a bit more towards champions though I would be ok with a Fantasy game as well. An online game would also probably be better, though if there is one around the Portland area in Oregon I would be up for that. Weekends for either would work better for me since it is less likely that I will get overtime at work though a 6pm-10pm game on a week night could also work most of the time.

I'd love to either run Fantasy Hero or play in a game via VTT. Now, I saw Epic used for a game, but I wasn't very enthusiastic about it overall. I saw some Roll20 ads, again it didn't grab me as a platform either. I have Fantasy Grounds, but I don't have a custom ruleset for it. I could set up a game though, using that. I have an ultimate license, so players with even demo versions could play as well. I haven't checked it out in a while, but there is another tabletop I picked up iTabletop. I'm going to check that out as a possible avenue. Any interest? Any other suggestions?

Planning a Standard Superhero level game (400 points, 75 in Complications). Basically using the Champions Universe (with the occasional odd tidbit ‘borrowed’ from other places). For those unfamiliar with the Champions Universe It’s a kitchen-sink type of setting, heavily influenced by the comics published by ‘The Big Two’. I favor clear distinction between good and evil (very limited shades of grey), with a feel more ‘four-color’ than ‘grim-dark’. Experience with Hero System not required - I enjoy teaching the system to new players. You can ping me here or via Discord (John Desmarais#6750) if interested or if you have questions.

Looking for 1-3 players for a Teen Champions game. Characters will be teenage superheroes in the fictitious northeastern Texan town of Niciper Creek circa 2002. While I use elements from a number of superhero campaign settings, CU conceits will generally apply. Game will start up officially February 6th with a Session Zero but hopefully there will be a lot of campaign discussion before then. Roll20 listing can be found here: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/146381/misfits-of-niciper-creek

As I've been searching about for HERO system games, I've really been craving something with a more proper, superheroic level of game. Preferably something set in the Champions universe since I haven't dealt with it all too much in the long run compared to plenty of others. Just hit me up if you got a spot and let me know what the game is about!

Hey folks, I'm Tate and I'm looking for a game that uses the Hero System A bit about myself I've played a bit of Tabletop off and on for the last few years (I started in around 2014 according to my roll20 records), mostly D&D but I vaguely remember my first game being Mutants & Masterminds and then GURPS, GURPS is definitely why I like Hero System, it gives both good and bad memories of my first and only GURPS Supers campaign. The last game and group I was in were over 5 months ago (I actually posted an LFG like this a few months back but I forgot to post it here on the forum), it was a Cyberpunk Red Living Community/West Marches, I helped run the serv…

Playing this by email.....fifth edition.....some highlights: Foxbat is the team's current quarry. Foxbat has become murderous. How do you deal with a Foxbat with no qualms about killing? Also in play are Professor Muerte, Halfjack, VIPER, and a bunch of other classic Champions characters and organizations. Using a lot of Allston's Strike Force stuff for inspiration. We're looking for players. Send me a message or post a reply.

We are playing a low powered, low magic, dark ages/horror game every other Sunday, starting soon. Characters start with 100 points total (includes 50 in complications). We'd be starting at 8:30PM EST and running till we are tired, likely past midnight. We'd be using Roll20 for the mapping and such, and Discord for voice. Relative fluency in French is necessary, as the game WILL be in French. However, the GM can read English fairly well, which is good because my written french is too horrible even for a horror game.

Greetings! So far facebook, meetups, and, sadly, this forum don't seem do well when trying to find other hero game groups (at least in my experience thus far). Does anyone know of any other places where one can search/find hero game groups/players? Our current 3 member group is in the Orlando, FL area and we would like to expand/add more members or join any other existing hero game groups within our driving reach. Thank you!

Looking toward post-panic. My FLGS closed its doors 3 weeks before C19 hit, so I have found myself without a gaming location. I do have a small group of friends that I game with on an irregular basis, though it looks like we will have the opportunity to game a lot more in the future. They were owners of the FLGS and as seems to be the case with game shop owners, their free time to game goes down drastically . Normally I have been running games with a horror content using Chaosiums Call of Cthulhu or Pelgranes GUMSHOE. A while back I got Sandy Petersen's Cthulhu Mythos for D&D 5th Edition and have put together a game for after the panic w…

Hey guys, I hope this is how it's done. I am trying to post in the Player Search topic. I am looking to learn to play Fantasy Hero and Superhero of the Hero System. I live in the North Bay in California (Benicia, Vallejo area) I am experienced in playing RPG's and played Champions in the 80's but I never played Fantasy Hero. D&D was my fantasy game. If you are local and looking for players, send me a note.

The wife and I are considering moving to Boise, ID. Just wondering if there is any HERO presence out that way. Would love to join an existing campaign. Will be bringing this table and would love to host if that works for the other gamers. (Table seats 7; can squeeze 9.) FYI: I'm not a GM (just don't have the skills or inclination) but happy to host if someone else can GM.

I want to do a "pick-up" game of Champions, where it's really sandboxy and not overplanned. I remember games where we basically started with whose Hunteds showed up and winged it from there. This is that kind of game. It has to be by email, due to time restrictions and internet restrictions on my end. Submit characters by posting here or by sending a Private Message. Or ask questions. Just send me or post the standard level of character with the standard amount of Disadvantages. You can send me a character in 3rd, 4th, or 5th Edition. I can work across the systems. Game is set in 1981. If there is interest, my pl…

Greetings, heroes! The world needs heroes! Ivan Snark, billionaire playboy philanthropist, has summoned costumed superheroes to join forces under the banner of Heroes Unlimited, an ad hoc group dedicated to Smashing Evil! Crushing Crime! and Speaking with Initial Caps and Exclamation Marks! I am launching an episodic 4th edition Champions game for the benefit of COVID-19 research and prevention on Roll20 and Zoom, broadcast on Twitch. All are welcome; join for one session or the series. Players must raise at least $50 for the CDC Foundation, an independent nonprofit authorized by Congress to support the Center for Disease Control's vita…

Hi, Been living here in Two Rivers Wisconsin for about over a year now and I am looking for getting a Champions/Hero System group together. I have been a Hero fan since I bought my first Champions book in 1981. I have GMed several campaigns over the years and I am itching to get another one started. I am a retired/self employed person so I am flexible as far as time goes. I prefer modern or pulp era games as opposed to fantasy which I feel is saturating the community. I prefer 4th or 5th edition or maybe even earlier. I really want to run a Superhero game in mid 1970s bronze age with a Six Million Dollar Man kind of feel. Probably low powered street level stuf…

For decades, the Justice Squadron was renowned as the world's greatest team of superheroes ... until they were lost in battle defeating the mad wizard Luther Black at the Second Demonflame Incident in 2010. For the last decade, the Justice Squadron mansion in New York City has been nothing but a museum to past glories. But now new threats have arisen, and a new team of heroes assemble and take up the mantle to oppose them... After a nearly five year break, I am itching to run Champions RPG again. Looking to start a Monday night weekly game starting at 8 PM Eastern Standard Time, lasting two to three hours per session online via Maptool and Facebook Messenger. …
