Well, okay, not technically new, I played one of the early versions of Champions in 1990s, and I love the system. I actually hate Fantasy anymore, bored now! But the system is so much better than that one that's currently in a furball with it's evil corporation owners! I've bought the 6th edition, so I'm hoping that version works. I think I still have a Roll20 account.

Planning a Standard Superhero level game (400 points, 75 in Complications). Basically using the Champions Universe (with the occasional odd tidbit ‘borrowed’ from other places). For those unfamiliar with the Champions Universe It’s a kitchen-sink type of setting, heavily influenced by the comics published by ‘The Big Two’. I favor clear distinction between good and evil (very limited shades of grey), with a feel more ‘four-color’ than ‘grim-dark’. Experience with Hero System not required - I enjoy teaching the system to new players. You can ping me here or via Discord (John Desmarais#6750) if interested or if you have questions.

Playing this by email.....fifth edition.....some highlights: Foxbat is the team's current quarry. Foxbat has become murderous. How do you deal with a Foxbat with no qualms about killing? Also in play are Professor Muerte, Halfjack, VIPER, and a bunch of other classic Champions characters and organizations. Using a lot of Allston's Strike Force stuff for inspiration. We're looking for players. Send me a message or post a reply.

I have a 2nd round of a Playtest game I am running, which fits into the Blade Runner/Prometheus/Alien Universe, that also has Magic, Psionics, and Mutants in it. **Please do not be confused by another post I have which is for the same game, but the initial group, looking for some replacement players...this is a new game** The listing is on roll20, which here is the link: https://app.roll20.net/join/13948971/69-6GA The description of the game has the possible character arch-types suggested for the game, which one can make from these, a combination, or even suggest one that may be a great addition to it. I am looking for 5-8 players, 6 is preferred. T…

All: I have an existing campaign that I am running that is Hero 6E...genre is based on Blade Runner/Prometheus/Alien Universe, but with a twist, involving Magic, Psionics, and Mutants. I have three possible existing characters that one can choose from, or one can create their own character that falls under any number or combinations of character arch-types. Here is the roll20 invite to the game. I am looking for two possible players. This is an adult game, and open to new and seasoned players. I am not looking for rules lawyers or those who twist the rules (Munchkins). I will have a detailed discussion to see if you feel you are a good fit and the intent on…

I am looking for a player for a 6e game of Champions set in a fantasy campaign. It will be similar to a Fantasy Hero game, but using superheroic rules with 300 points. I am using the Pathfinder setting of Golarion for the maps, culture and deities. So far the players seem to be interested in being affiliated with the Pathfinder Society for support and guidance. The game hasn't started yet. Most of the game will be in Discord text chat until we have an encounter that is more complex. If it turns into a combat, I will use Hero Combat manager and theater of the mind. If it is too much for that, I will switch to Fantasy Grounds just to track locations. I haven't b…

I have enjoyed creating original characters of the RWBY style campaign I been running since July 2021, using the Hero Game system (on Saturday Mornings). The group on Saturday mornings is now three, and seeking a few more players. Of the current group of players only one is learning the Hero System. I have included a HDC file of basic template for a typical Huntsman or Huntress character from RWBY. For ease of combat all characters and Grimm will nearly always have a speed of Four. Game Name: RWBY Aftershock System: Champions Complete [Access to other Sixth Edition powers and abilities with Head Masters permission] Genre: World of Remnant/RWBY. Wea…

Hopefully we will be able to play more but for the moment this is the deal. The game is set in the mid 80's and is Bronze age in style. We are playing 350pt characters and it is set in Milwaukee. Our next session is on June 30th at 2:00 p.m.

I want to do a "pick-up" game of Champions, where it's really sandboxy and not overplanned. I remember games where we basically started with whose Hunteds showed up and winged it from there. This is that kind of game. It has to be by email, due to time restrictions and internet restrictions on my end. Submit characters by posting here or by sending a Private Message. Or ask questions. Just send me or post the standard level of character with the standard amount of Disadvantages. You can send me a character in 3rd, 4th, or 5th Edition. I can work across the systems. Game is set in 1981. If there is interest, my pl…

I have enjoyed creating original characters of the RWBY style campaign I been running since July 2021, using the Hero Game system (on Saturday Mornings). The group on Saturday mornings has grown to five and not actively seeking any more players for that time slot. It is a real challenge to abide by the naming rules and all that jazz created by Monty Oum. But also very rewarding. I been thinking of perhaps opening up a game to be played on Friday evenings two days a month. Players that understand RWBY preferred. I predominately use Champions Complete for the rules (I did not want to over burden players on Saturday as many of them not know the system, they just…

I live in the remote Arizona high country, so ftf is probably not in the cards. Given that, I'm looking for a play-by-post style game. I was a long time Hero Central player, and I am sad to see that it is long gone, now that I'm trying to get back into Hero System. I'm open for just about any genre or power level, just looking to scratch that Hero System itch once again. Steve G.

As I've been searching about for HERO system games, I've really been craving something with a more proper, superheroic level of game. Preferably something set in the Champions universe since I haven't dealt with it all too much in the long run compared to plenty of others. Just hit me up if you got a spot and let me know what the game is about!

Got to thinking about all the fun we had doing champions and fantasy hero in college. Would love to get a group together again. Cheers! Chris

This is a new type of Hero Game, one that uses the player's genres to lead to discoveries that they are each part of something bigger. For the schedule, there is a session 0, that involves a mini-adventure with myself, the player, and another player who is the Recruiter. This is more of an introductory to the game, so I can get you fit into the genre. i’ll be holding this from the second week or third week of January, and the schedule is flexible between myself, the player, and “recruiter”. The session 1 game, where everybody is meeting for a regular schedule game, will take place on Thursdays at 5:30 PM Pacific time, and for now, every other week. …

Well, it's a new year and I think we're all overdue for a return to normality, so I thought I'd put out the invitation and see if there are folks interested in starting an in-person, bi-weekly, long-term Champions campaign here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, or if there's an existing group that's got room for an additional player. For my own part, I've been GMing in the HERO System for about 35 years in a broad range of genres and styles. I don't currently have any specifics about what sort of campaign I'd be running or when, preferring to tailor the game based on player availability and interest; but I would lean towards gaming on alternate weekends during …

It has been a while since I have been in a pen and paper, and have recently been inspired to make a new character that I would like to find a game to play them in. Weekends are my best days for games since I have about 10am-10pm(GMT -8) free though I haven't had to work overtime in a while so I can probably open up Weekdays 5pm-10pm. I am looking for an online or play by post game and I do have discord if the group plays with that for voice.
