    Longest Running Thread EVER

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER *Pokes his head in* I found a kinda fun idle RPG game that I wanted to share: s2.sfgame.us/index.php?rec=59008 An Idle RPG basically involves setting your character on a quest or a task and waiting real time while everything is done automatically. You control buying weapons and armor and spending money to improve your statistics. These days when I have little time, low key games are all I can handle. I created a guild. The guild benefit is straight forward. You can donate gold to the guild that is used to improve one of three features. You can improve your gold earning rate, exp earning rate, and the maximum size of your guild. I have a guild with 7 open spots +10% Gold and +2 XP. If anyone joins the game and is interested, give me your in game name and I'll invite.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Yeah. Gaming has all but disappeared from my life since the move. I tried to get into a LARPing group but that has started to become a big disappointment. Real life has really taken over things for me.

    The cranky thread

Re: The cranky thread Got hit in the head by a beer can walking home from work. My flash drive failed and I lost over two weeks of editing. I'm cranky but not as cranky as I would otherwise be. I guess that means I've become happier with life again.

6E Rules changes confirmed so far

Re: 6E Rules changes confirmed so far This should be enough of a change that I can convince my housemate to start playing Hero. She hates math and complicated systems. Also the impact this has on things like Drain is wonderful. This makes things so much simpler to figure out and calculate mid-game. I have to admit that I like it.

New Thoughts on Obama v McCain

Re: New Thoughts on Obama v McCain Nor is it suppressing the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution which you seem so inclined to believe. Its a public phone. Having a phone line for getting a phone call does not grant protected rights. A radio or television station is granted public air waves that are, in fact, regulated. They can do whatever they want, within reason, with those airwaves but there are reprecussions. A common tactic for shows that are not popular by some, such as the Howard Stern Show, is to flood the advertisers with complaints to get them to pull their spots. Or, to call the station itself repeatedly expressing your displeasure. This can be done on the individual level or orchestrated by a group. You can turn this into a sleezy attack method by Obama, but it isn't. The fact is this public airwave is spreading lies and this politically backed campaign is trying to stop that from happening. It is the public's airwaves, however, and they have the right to voice their complaints even if it is encouraged and made easy by a political campaign. And given the motivation for this is to stop lies, I'm not opposed to the tactic. I'd be the same way if McCain was doing it too.

New Thoughts on Obama v McCain

Re: New Thoughts on Obama v McCain How exactly is having a system in place to try and stop the spreading of lies a suppression of the 1st Amendment?

    NBC's Heroes

Re: NBC's Heroes I'm amending my theory on Niki partially. Here's what we know: Niki's power is/was Super Strength. It manifested after her sister was killed and when she was about to be choked/beaten by her father. She possesses at least three personalities (Niki, Jessica, Vegas Girl). The actress who play's Niki is playing this new Ice Queen character. We have no idea where Micah and St. Joan are in the picture right now. We last saw Niki trapped in a fire. My original theory is that if Niki is witness to the death of someone with powers, she gets their power. I thought she would survive by discovering that she had DL's power. Obviously, this isn't the case. Now looking at it, it could be that when she is about to be killed or about to die, a personality will emerge with a needed power to overcome it. Being beaten to death by your father would certainly call for Super Strength to push him off you. Being caught in a fire might call for some sort of power to drop air temperature quickly. Again, this is theory but we shall see.
