Learning technology.

Recommended Posts

Well, Friday lightning hit near the house. Blew out the phones, the central air. The TV in the den along with the comcast cable box and ps4 connected to it.

We actually had a new phone we hadn't set up yet. And the central air just needed a new fuse. And as for the ps4, I dont play on it much, so I can wait awhile if ever.

The cable box and TV have proven another experience. Apparently, technology has reached a level in the ensuing years beyond my capabilities. Programming it has proved difficult and the few successful moments came when I threw the instruction manual in the trash and looked it up on the internet. Well, just needed to rant. Off day tomorrow, so I will get the joy of calling Comcast/Xfinity tech support.

Sincerely,

The Luddite Badger

We got a hit about two weeks ago - not a direct one, it was two houses over, but the ground pulse blasted one of my housemate's computers, the modem, and part of our household network. Fortunately, one of my other housemates basically is a computer tech and now has most of it back up and running (we're still waiting for some parts, which are quarantined in Victoria...).
