Dwarves are Lawful Good, but too often they are portrayed as Chaotic Good...loose party animals that tend to go berserk in battle. Why has this happened? I'd ask "Is a Tolkien thing?", but I'm pretty sure that his elves could make merry and his dwarves were often serious about their clans. I'm a little unimpressed with all Dwarves being Lawful Good, given that Elves are usually given a probability of being Neutral. I'd extend that to Dwarves as well.
