Off the top of my head, I do remember that it's supposed to put out 107% of the amount of power that we currently use. And it's got panels which provide shade. I'm not sure if I fully understood the functionality but I gather that it's something like the function of the shadow squares on Larry Niven's Ringworld. archer Posted March 24, 2021 Author Report Share Posted March 24, 2021 After a lot of COVID delays, trials, and tribulations (including a "one day install" which lasted 7 days), my solar system has been installed and has been up and running for a partial month. Our electric bill was a negative $42 and some odd cents. And that billing period included a week when the system was supposed to be installed and running but wasn't. If the system had been up and running for the whole month, I'd estimate that our electric bill would have been well in excess of a negative $100. That's roughly what we'd been led to believe that it would be...but that was one of those claims which my wife swallowed without skepticism but which I was unable to.
