Endurance Reserve for Giant Organic Mecha

So one of the pitches I have to get one of my friends to try HERO (he isn't much of a Supers fan) was that we are Druids, tasked with protecting the natural world against incursions by mythological and demonic creatures, possibly even of divine origin.  We are given large, powerful mecha that have a sentient Core that powers them.  Using your mech causes Rot, but the Core regenerates your mecha at variable rates.

I wanted to use an Endurance Reserve to model the power of the Core.  Utilizing powers and movement both cost Endurance from this reserve.

My question is, are powers that are linked to an Endurance Reserve discounted at all?  I don't think they are but wanted to be sure before I settle on this as a core mechanical component of this game.

Because even a -1/4 limitation would quickly save a whole lotta points.

If END reserves are going to be the norm on the mechas, you might make them cheaper.  That said:  why not power everything from the Core, and at that point, it's not an END reserve, it's just the usual END?  Drawing from an END reserve for a LOT of powers gets to be seriously expensive, and you don't have the option to spend a phase to recover.

Be sure you don't overcomplicate your build.

Building the Mecha as a character unto itself and simulating the various drawbacks as Complications or Power Disadvantages is often easier than trying to build all the various components as separate entities.
A Mecha As a Character can run off their normal Endurance, and can be a Summon, a Multiform, or a Duplicate if you really need to tie it to a Druid PC

However all non instant powers using an END reserve basically get an uncontrolled advantage for free, so that is something...
