Yeah, that billboard rental he put up nearby was harsh...

*Sigh*

:)

Wow, my memory must be getting really bad!  I don't remember doing this at all.  Definitely sounds like something I would do though.  ;)

As long as I'm here...

Sgt. Stanley Haymer was a career soldier with an unexceptional record in the supply depot of a mid-sized army base in the Midwest and would have likely served his 20 years without ever being promoted

We all need Samantha Carter, my friend. Unfortunately, the wife won't permit it.

Ted Logan's antagonist/rival/bully is that across-all-time moronic manure target, Biff Tannen (Back to the Future franchise)

Crush: Annie Edison, Community

After graduating Greendale Community College, Annie moved on to a more prestigious institution, where she had Professor Dreamy -- er, Professor Caulder -- for Anthropology 101. Annie has become enamored with the good professor, and has changed her major twice in order to continue taking classes on the wide variety of subjects he teaches. The Chief may, or may not, be aware of her. But Annie will almost certainly follow him into trouble at some point . . .

When the Board of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy went looking for someone to oversee the various Maintenance, Repair and Landscaping Departments they found this good humored carpenter from a small town outside of Chicago.  A licensed Contractor and Journeyman Plumber, Electrician, and Auto Mechanic, he was already looking for a new start after the death of his wife and the emptying of the nest by three of his four children.

So he packed up his youngest son Jerry, and closed his 4 Aces Construction business and moved into a small on-site house and began taking care of all of the Buildings Facilities needs of all three campuses of the Academy.  His sly wit and solid instincts about people allow him to direct his small staff in and amongst the varied and non-stop chaos.

He may be uneducated about the high powered and complex world that the students here will someday move in, but his sound, caring advice and forgiving nature seems to always bring the more troubled young people to him eventually.

MENTOR:  Dan Conner  (Roseanne —TV)

Who could possibly be giving advice to a dimwit layabout that said layabout would (1) understand and (2) be inclined to follow?  While at the same time having some kind of gravitas so that he wasn't preemptively locked up for contributing to the delinquency?

Well, the Mentor in our story has, if anything, a pedigree more distinguished than any of the characters in our pattern story itself!  He's a knight, a prince's associate, and yet fully relatable to someone like Ted.

Mentor: Sir John Falstaff, from Shakespeare's canon.

Bestie: Helen Magnus, Sanctuary

There's one professor on the university staff who Niles actually looks forward to interacting with, one Helen Magnus. For one, she's one of a handful who can keep up with his intellect, and follow conversations that might swing from nanites to metaphysics in the blink of an eye. But he also senses in her something of a kindred spirit. She's the only one in his circle on campus with whom he can have a true meeting of the minds.

If you're going to draft her, you really need Samantha Carter as well.

I don't know that I'd risk it. Pretty much everybody she dated on the show ended up dead.

I’d like to think that Annie paid for your tuition at Greendale by taking a part time job as a Gorgeous Lady Of Wresting.

The Executive Board finally decided to make him their Operative and he was glad.  The Rossum corporation had been part of this cartel for sometime now, and this was to be their first major part to play.  Now a full member of an alliance of the forces who truly ran this world. Both the Mystical in the cases of those who controlled Wolfram & Hart and the Cabin project and Scientific like Weyland-Yutani, Blue Sun and his own company Rossum Inc. Only a group as powerful as this could hold Hydra in check, and Laurence Dominic had no desire to work for a losing side.

Rossum had first approached him when was still with the N.S.A. about heading up security for some of their more “Special” projects, but then this...The infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s training Academy to target students and staff who might be potentially useful to the company.  It was all too sweet.

A little spotting of weakness here, a little psychological manipulation there, and these children would become the scientific brain-trust and shock troops the future would require.
His new position as Instructor of Tactical Arts would give him the vantage point needed to build himself a nice little army.  Yes, his very own army.

OVERALL THREAT:  Rossum Inc./ Laurence Dominic   (Dollhouse —TV)

Also mentioned;  Weyland-Yutani —Alien — Movie Series

                                 Wolfram & Hart — Angel — TV

Cabin Project — Cabin in the Woods — Movie

                                 Blue Sun Corp. —Firefly —TV

Zorg needs cannon fodder so we shall gift him

Option 1: Trolloc

https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Trolloc

Granted the name is a bit sad, Troll + Orc = Trolloc, and the idea that they are a mix of man and beast has been done to death in fantasy and sci-fi. However they are cannon fodder and they can delay the heroes.
