Pattern Ghost 2,627
The Looming Threat: The Daleks, Doctor Who The Chief's investigation awakens an old menace. His progress is monitored for decades by the tiny tin-plated terrors, and once the Daleks learn of his true goals, they begin to gather, to swarm, to debate, to fear: What if Earthlings gained the power of the Gallifreyans? Must exterminate!
Sociotard 1,336
Looming threat: Sith Army (Star Wars: Endless Vigil) And my antagonist is spelled Alfred Bester (Babylon 5). You have Alferd Bester. Minor quibble.

Pariah 8,031
I think I figured out my picks for yesterday and today. I'll take care of that when I get to an actual computer.
Cancer 6,899
Option 1: Aside from a few glimpses of the Lidless Eye, you don't actually see Sauron himself, the big bad, in the original trilogy. By contrast, you see his Number One minion front and center more than once. The King of the Nazgul stabs Frodo in the first book when they're still only halfway to Rivendell, he blows down the gate of Minas Tirith and he and Gandalf exchange Presence attacks, and then Merry and Eowyn off him out on the Pelennor Fields after he offs poor old Theoden. So we'll cast him in our Travesty of the Ring. He'll be deadly and have lots of resources, but he'll be about as stupid as the rest of the show. Numbah One Nazgul: Otto West, the moronic weapons expert from A Fish Named Wanda. Old Man
death tribble 4,157
Now surely we need a virginal woman for Sir Galahad ? Not when it is my story it is not ! So the Crush/Love Interest is Phedre no Delaunay https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kushiel's_Dart Having chosen Galahad I was desperately looking for a particular type of woman and finally found it. Should have known as I own the first trilogy. Old Man and tkdguy

Tjack 610
Here comes what my be the dumbest question of all time...Is coming up with the three Options more or less mandatory? Or is it just for embellishments to the story? The story in my head didn’t really need a “McGuffin” but I can certainly come up with one. Optional Option 1: Codes to the Containment Cells Worldwide. (Cabin in the Woods — Movie) Optional Option 2: The Mother Box (Justice League — Movie) Optional Option 3: The Design Schematics for the Titan Ark Ship (Titan: AE — Movie)
Psybolt 1,060
Option #1: The Black Cat Old Man

For instance, I have used option picks for theme music (even when there's something of an implication that the draft is for a combination to appear as a comic book or novel). BTW, an optional title is often a free or retrofitted option.

As an extra little challenge for myself I made all of my choices from something written by, Produced by or acted in by Joss Whedon. I may have mentioned that competitive OCD psycho thing.... Pariah 8,031
It turns out that Malthus, bad as he is, is just a harbinger of the real threat: Alien invaders with psionic and telekinetic abilities--and a reputation feared by the very few who even know of their existence. Cancer 6,899
... And now we come to the end of it. Two terrible meme-based items to fill out this Travesty of the Ring. There's two lines in the Jackson FotR movie that have made for lots of silly posters. We'll abuse both of them. The first one is on a personal level. One popular line goes, "One does not simply walk into Mordor." I like that. We have to draft something to take the place of Mordor, though. Purely for the name and its connotation as a dreaded place ... named to match our draft's dreaded master [buffs nails] ... "One does not simply walk into ... ... the Cancerverse."
