It is from Ringu. I have enjoyed Ringu ever since I got my copy from Britain (I actually saw the American version first, but the Japanese version is better IMHO). I got the pic from J Lopez's Ringworld (See link below).

I don't think I want to see the Japanese version then...as the US remake gave me the creeping heebiejeebies.

Midnight maid, eh? Cool

Hey, do you read much manga or are you more into the movies?

There's been something of a manga explosion here in Oregon, I have been reading Ragnarok, Rebirth, and King of Hell. They're pretty cool. ever seen any of them?

Seen? yes. Read? No.

I am reading Trigun, Hellsing, and a slew of other stuff. Video-wise I'd like to get Witch Hunter Robin.

King of Hell is pretty good stuff.

Massively powerful swordsman dies and his power is "locked" by a seal. The seal makes him regress in age to a boy. He is an emissary for the King of Hell to gather the spirits of the dying. He's a pretty good guy actually, but even sealed, he is very powerful and more than a little arrogant. Anyway, the souls of some very evil individuals are released and he is reborn (again sealed, so his body regresses in age) to defeat them. Its pretty cool, there is some funny moments, cool moments, and sad moments and I am on book three...

Height: 1.90 m Hair: Bright Red
Weight: 107.00 kg Eyes: Blue
Appearance: Tall and broad shouldered, the Dragon of Stone is lean and muscular. His skin is tanned from long hours working in the sun. His hair is bright red and he has clear blue eyes. He wears a worn priest's robe with out the beads. He has thrown a blue vest and black sash over the robes.Personality: While not as outwardly volitile as when he was a youth, the Dragon of Stone (as he is now called), is a proud and somewhat vain young man. He knows that his specialized training has made him a physical juggernaut and isn't afraid to make an example out of those who belittle or try to intimidate him. Quote:"Don't think I don't know what you just said."

"Greatings from the land of Barbarism and debouchery."

"I'll bet that was unpleasant."

Background: Born in Ireland in the 12th Century, Stephen Chad Riley travelled with his father, a trader who travelled to Asia by ship. Their ship wrecked, the young man was saved by the monks from a temple on a small island. Raised by the monks as the only survivor, the youth learns Kung Fu and taoism. The strict tennants of the monestary and the outsider youth's surly personality led to his isolated training. He learned his lessons the hard way and when he reached the age of manhood left the monestary to see the rest of the mystical east.

During his travels, the young would be monk found himself often fighting simply for his appearance. Thus he further honed his skills as a warrior. When he heard of an open martial arts tourney, he made a bee line for the Grand Temple in Tibet. He is eager to test his strength and skill against the world.

Powers/Tactics: Training in waterfalls, breaking stones with his hands, running great distances and hours of meditation have improved Chad's physical prowess. He has proven to have an ironclad willpower and has turned that into amazing physical attributes. While he has mastered many Ch'i techniques, he tends to favor those which make him seem more than human. Rumors abound as to his strength and durability, he has alluded to deals with a dragon, the blessings of a winsome goddess, and "all westerners are tough like this". Campaign Use:
