Just for fun: I've not only been to the Las Vegas Strip, I've been to bits of Las Vegas off the strip!

Check that out, Yanqui scum!

(Disclaimer: The term "Yanqui scum" may not reflect the view of assault or any entity associated with assault. Apologies are explicitly given where necessary to prevent legal or moderator action.)

(Secondary Disclaimer: my father was a model railroad fan, and we went to hobby shops pretty much everywhere. I may have talked him into buying me some wargaming, but given the timeline, not roleplaying, material there.)

I'm not a gambler, so I'm far more likely to cross the Las Vegas Strip than to go to it. The last time that I purposely went was for Rush R40 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena back in July 2015. I'm thinking of going to the new Pinball Hall of Fame location on the south end of the Strip. I've been to their old location on Tropicana a few times, and it was a great experience to play a huge variety of machines.

As previously noted, there are a sizable number of landmarks that belong on such a list (at least above the Everglades). Personally, I would add The Redwoods and maybe Hoover Dam. Just to start.

Back in my college days, we'd sometimes just drive out to Hoover Dam in the middle of the night, cross over, and park in the Arizona lot and walk around. I don't believe that it's something that you can do anymore, though.

When I was little, my parents bought a Volkswagen camper and we traveled around the country. I've been to every state except Alaska and Hawaii, and we also went into Canada and Mexico. We spent some time in many of the state and national parks, and I have some memories of seeing the redwoods. Others that I've seen that probably should be on the list include Carlsbad Caverns and the Petrified Forest National Park.

I spent my elementary school years in Central Florida. I would have considered Silver Springs State Park or Gatorland Zoo as better locations than the Everglades for Florida. And from a science/space angle, the Kennedy Space Center should probably be on that list.

I'm also revising my count to 10, adding the Hollywood sign, which I saw from a distance back in 1992 when we went to Hollywood to see Spinal Tap perform at the Universal Amphitheatre.
