November 13, 2024Nov 13 comment_2963828 Champions 6th edition is a genre sourcebook, it doesn't have any rules in it. It covers everything you need to run and build a champions campaign, including a sample one of sorts. Its lacking adventures because Hero Games has not quite grasped that GMs NEED ADVENTURES but its a great book overall. There's really not much of a comparison.
November 13, 2024Nov 13 comment_2963832 I don’t have the Champions Complete book, but the description in the store says it has everything you need to run a Champions game. That seems to indicate it does have the rules in it. From what I understand it has an abbreviated version of the game that focuses on running a Champions game. Supposedly it leaves out a lot of the examples and shortens the descriptions. I don’t think there is anything in it that conflicts with the full 6th edition rules, but it may be missing some things especially the optional rules.

Apologies, I should have said Heroes 6e vs CC... Ad yep, definitely need more adventures... Edited November 14, 2024Nov 14 by Prof.Dogg
November 14, 2024Nov 14 comment_2963863 The only difference that I can think of between Hero System Rules and Champions Complete is that CC does not bring up classes of mind for mental powers.
December 4, 2024Dec 4 comment_2965397 I don't think any of the Complete line (Champions, Fantasy Hero) nor Western Hero ever bring up mental classes of minds. I don't think Victorian Hero does so either. If we ever get Star Hero Complete, then mental classes should be introduced.
December 28, 2024Dec 28 comment_2966897 I have never detected any discrepancies between CC and Hero System 6e. I understand that to be the intention; the Complete series are simply capsules of the needed rules, without extensive and/or rarely used options.
