ScrewySquirrel Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 When staring Her Designer, I get the loading screen but it get stuck, forever at "Loading template...reading disads section" this happened right after it stropped saving exports (the file would not be created) I've rebooted the PC since this happened with no help. And it was working fine up until it suddent stopped saving exports. My PC is a 7800x3d, 32 gb ram, RX 7900GRE, running HD6 off a 2 TB SSD runnig win 11. Overkill for this java version "1.8.0_411" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_411-b09) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.411-b09, mixed mode) what can I do? Quote
Simon Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Post the trace.log file (located in the same directory as HD6.jar) - that will give full details of the error that's occurring. Without that, best guess would be that you're trying to run HD from a directory that's protected by Windows UAC -- you'll want to move it to a directory that you have full access to (e.g. Documents or your Desktop). Simon Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Looks like something is up with the character files that you have set to load on startup. In particular, Ranma.hdc looks to be an issue, though Shigeru Akagi.hdc seems to be chewing up a bit more memory than it should. 1. Update your copy of HD - you're running one that's over 4 years old at this point. 2. I'd recommend deleting appPrefs.xml and then starting HD -- that will avoid loading any characters or other information on startup and should bring HD back to defaults 3. Post the two character files mentioned above if you'd like me to take a look at them and see what the issue is. Quote
ScrewySquirrel Posted November 29 Author Report Posted November 29 Where do I get the upgrade? Or do I have to buy it again? Quote
Simon Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 Same place as when you first downloaded it - go to Store -> Manage Purchases and download the current update. Quote
