Okay, I don't think these have been mentioned yet, but it's a long thread, so please forgive me if I duplicate:

Manimal

The Infiltrator (that's the name of the man-fused-with-spaceprobe, man in question played by Scott Bakula)

Hard Time on Planet Earth

The Magician (with Bill Bixby)

There was a short-lived series about Captain Nemo being revived from suspended animation in the modern day...can't remember the name, darn it!

For some reason, I don't remember Captain Nice. I've heard the powers and origin were simular to Mr. Terriffic, but it could be I never watched it. I believe 13 episodes of each were made. [/b]

Actually Captian Nice created a super formula which when drunk creates an explosion but gives him superpowers.

Such as flight, invulnerability[he can crash through walls, more specifcally of the wrong building] superstrength[ crushes bullets into lumps and beans the wrong person with said lump]

for all his bumbling he's forgiven because he comes through to save the day. Usually before he drinks the potion he's relunctant to do so until his mom encourages him to do it.

The Series starred William Johnson[of Knight Rider and Boy Meets World].

Thank you - that's the same one somebody else posted then, right? Didn't he have the problem with sunlight/solar power, or was that yet another one he did?

What about the Action Pack maybe (I think that's what it was called) - the weekly bunch of shows that started Hercules. I can't remember any of the other shows, though. Does anyone?

L.A. Law - Unconvinced anyone was superhuman beyond basic "tv-ness"

M.A.S.H - Unconvinced anyone was superhuman beyond basic "tv-ness"

Rat Patrol - Unconvinced anyone was superhuman beyond basic "tv-ness"

Sabrina the Teenage Witch - Originally a Comic character, she was published by Archie comics for decades

Schoolhouse Rock - A cartoon

1) Angel - has been put back on the list.

2) LA Law - A character called The Salamander with powers appeared in one episode, but was removed due not a major recurring character.

3) M*A*S*H - Radar has limited Precog, this too has been removed due to a film not tv origin.

4) Rat Patrol - Has been removed, they are Skilled Normals not Supers.

5) Sabrina the Teenage Witch - Has been removed, due to your explaination.

6) Schoolhouse Rock - Has been removed, due to your explaination.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.

I think that if a TV show is based on a movie, and has completely different characters, then it qualifies as a seperate creation.

Remembered a couple more:

Friday the Thirteenth: the Series

Despite its name, it had no connection to the movies. Antique dealers sell cursed antiques and must recover them or have their souls taken by the Devil.

Poltergeist: The Legcy

Started as a movie, but they expanded on the concept so much, I believe they qualify as a seperate event. A secret society battles mystical menaces in San Francisco. Much better than Charmed could ever hope to be.

1) Friday the Thirteenth: the Series: I would love to include it, but under the original post it would be disqualified. None of the major recurring characters are Supers and their use of any item was very limited, usually not at all.

2) Poltergeist: The Legcy: I don't know enough about to make a judgement. If any of the characters that did not appear in the film show any use of powers, I will include it. Please list the name(s) of the character(s) with the powers.

Tracker - Adrian Paul (the tv highlander) plays an alien bounty hunter sent here to recapture a group of 230+ alien bad guys that escaped from prison. Paul isn't toooo egotistical, the form he supposedly takes upon landing is that of an underwear model.

Again, I don't know enough about the character to make a judgement. If he has Powers, post the name of the character. Has to be more than a Skilled Normal.

What about the Hurricane from the WWE?:D

Well, my guess would be, not. Again, if he has Powers then that qualifies. Post name if he does, being the real world, I doubt it. btw would he survive WCW (World Class Westling).

NOW THE MAIN EVENT... THE THING VS. HURRICANE (sounds kinda cool, tho)

I tend to consider these SF.

Huh?

You forgot "My Favorite Martian" and "My Mother, the Car" but of the three, I would only count My Favorite Martian. The other two would be really pushing it, considering what they did.

1) SF shows: reason for inclusion listed in the updated post.

2) LA Law and M*A*S*H have been removed, see above.

3) Mr. Ed: talking is a Talent for horse that qualifies.

5) My Mother, the Car is now been added under Car, The (Crabtree, Gladys)

As far as the opinion of some being "not superhuman other than usual tv-ness" or whatever. I do have to point out that characters like Batman and the Punisher are not really supers but we bunch into the category a lot. Just my 2 cents on the subject.

Though why did you have to mention Touched By An Angel. i had to suffer for years. It was one of my mother's favorites.

The horror....the horror:D

Let me start by saying, I like your name. Badger was one of my fav comics, I have a complete collection. Also, your right Bat-Man and Punisher are not Supers they are Skilled Normals (very skilled). I never really compared them in point value with other characters in their respective universes. I know they hold there own!

Doc, that short-lived series was The Return of Captain Nemo,

from 1978 (jeez, I was in my third year of high school when that

bit of soggy TV silliness was on).

Ah, but are you cursed with the name?

I mean, heck, when they weren't calling me "Yoyo" they were calling me "Sherlock".

Ah, I see, that sucks.

I didn't get much mercy with my name, either (zorn apparently translates to horny-toad, horny, porn, etc., and having a first name that is also a last name (Wilson) seems to evoke endless amusement among the simple-minded - "Zilson Worn", there's a funny one...)

Actually anything like that is funny once or twice...but that's not the nature of playgrounds.

But none of this is "one-downmanship", I wouldn't have traded. But hey it's all over now, right!?

Electra Woman (Lori) - Electra Woman and Dyna Girl

Stevens, Samatha - Samantha

Human Target was originally a comic book as was (I believe) Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.

Could the second entry for Samtha Stephens have suppost to have been Tabatha?

1) You are correct, they usually refrained due to that entire "Lose soul to the Devil disadvantage". While the people they fought qualified as supervillains, I don't think Micki or Ryan were. Jack however, occasionally did cast a few minor spells...

2) Source:

http://www.legacyweb.com/

~Derek Rayne: Psychic: Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, and precognition. (usually in dreams or vision form)

~Nick Boyle: Ex-Navy Seal, carried a pistol. Used it against an animated doll in one episode (Chuckie clone) :). Also drives a 64' red mustang convertible. I think the car qualifies him here, the trunk has a fax, phone, and laptop in it.

~Alexandra Moreau: Limited Psychic powers (less than Derek)

~Father Philip Callaghan: Catholic Priest. Is once asked if he is a secret agent for the Pope...does not deny it.

~Dr. Rachel Corrigan: Daughter of a witch, that Derek's father murdered. Aunt was a necromancer, grandfather a satanist.

~Kat Corrigan: Daughter of rachel. More ESP powers, in the last season she starts dabbling in the occult. Possesses the physical strength of a normal 8 year old girl who engages in moderate physical exercise.

Thanks, S.C.! I was only 12, so not in high school yet. As I recall, it was a TV-movie first, which got spun out into a TV series that sank pretty quickly. Yes/no?

how about Brimstone?

short lived series 13 episodes.

100+ occupants of Hell escape, the devil cuts a deal with a cop who became a vigilante(murdered the psycho that killed his wife, then commits suicide) though _mostly_ a skilled normal, the more time you spend in hell the more hell becomes a part of you. According to the SCi Fi channel was not mentioned as being based upon a previous publication.

There are a few problems with the series (continuity for one) but a good series of yarns.

Tommorow people : All have Telepathy and Teleportation, Megascale on the teleport as a naked advantage with OIF. 70's English Sci Fi, appeared on Nickelodeon. Aliens appeared infrequently, good stroy exploration. each character was different and the mental sequences were pretty good.

That was pretty much the case, Doc. I have the impression,

though, that The Return of Captain Nemo was intended

to be a limited-run series (given that Captain Nemo's stated

goal in the series was to find Atlantis, which was accomplished

in the final episode, anything else coming after that would've

been excess baggage).
