The underlying exoskeleton is black and form-fitting. There are various bronze accents throughout the armor. The armor accessories are a 6 ft. Power staff, and a 4 ft. diameter circular Hoverboard.

BACKGROUND

Richard Cogliati is the son of the prominent crime lord Mario Cogliati. Richard was a child of privilege and ambition. Early in his childhood, Richard took an interest in the Martial Arts. He studied and practiced until he earned his Black Belt in Quan Ki Do. Richard was also exceptionally bright, excelling in science and mathematics. Richard graduated with honors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Richard always conflicted with his father's profession and methods. He also desperately sought after his father's approval. After his graduation, he went home and decided to follow in his father's footsteps. His father decided to test his loyalty and commitment, making him an assassin. Unknown to him, his father chose a very specific victim for his son's first hit. Ironically, his first and only hit changed his life forever. Richard carried out his orders with lethal efficiency, only to discover a moment too late, that he had assassinated his best friend and college roommate, Matthew Miller. This act struck at Richard's soul, his friend Matt had come from poverty and done amazing things to help the innocent and needy with his genius. Matt was the one true friend that he had counted on, and Matt had never asked him for anything in return. After Richard covertly delivered his friend's body to the city morgue, he gathered his belongings and fled to Matt's home. When he got there, he was shocked to find the Cavalier armor. He had thought that it was only a fantasy of Matt's. He had even drawn up working prototypes for Matt, as a gag Christmas gift. Matt had apparently been the popular new hero in town, Cavalier. Then and there, he decided to honor Matt's memory, and became Cavalier. Since that night, Richard has been driven to help the weak and victimized, time and time again, putting himself in mortal danger to pay penance for his sin. Richard has gained employment with several Hi-tech research and development companies as an independant contractor. He has set up a private research and fabrication lab to work on his prototypes.(Greatly preserving his identity as Ian Kimmerling) He has not made much money as of yet, his patents and research break even for the most part with his expenses as Cavalier. He hopes that his business ventures will garner him the wealth and freedom he needs to devote more time to being Cavalier. Richard is waiting and watching for his day of reckoning, when his father finally catches up to him.

OK, folks, it's been a quarter since my last pic posting. Time to post another. This is a pic of my most favorite Champs character, Paladin. Typical power-armor hero. There's a No-Prize for anyone who can name what character's picture was used as the basis for this pic.

I was messing around with the beta "sample" of CoyoteGray's (the artist formerly known as Superstar) Comic Artist program. It's going to be a sweet program when it's done. I came up with these updated versions of Paladin's armor. What do you folks think, really?

Other than Hero Maker what other programs are good for doing this. I have seen some based on the Templates that they sell in the online store. Also, how do you get the pics to show in the message instead of just as an attachment? Thanks for any help you can be.

After you attach, go ahead and edit the message, you'll see the postid in the url area.

Thanks, loraxxx. That particular character meant a lot to me. Sadly, I moved away from my regular gaming group and now don't have the chance to play her (not that she hadn't transformed into a villain before I moved, but that's another story).

i had a GM do that to me, once--he literally had a villan transform my character into a whole new character designed to betray group....:(

fortunately, the campaign ended not too long after that, so i didn't have to actually do it....

Lance Corporal Lora Doubet

I bought the recent release of the UNTIL book, and was quite pleased with it. Despite being a decided non-fan of the real world United Nations, I'm willing to suspend my disbelief in an effective version of it for the Champions Universe. Particulary given superpowers in that world and an enforcement arm like UNTIL.

Anyway - one version of a character I've had around for a long time was a member of UNTIL in a PBEM game I was in a few years back. I didn't have a definitive version of the UNTIL uniform to work with back then. So I decided to design my own. WIth some input from a fellow player, Rob Hudson. The design takes some inspiration from The Rocketeer, Silent Mobius, and just a touch of Masamune Shirow. I've made a few other pictures of her in this uniform since then.

A few days ago, I was looking at one of the copies of the picture on my hard drive and thought - *hmmm... let's try coloring this.*

The original concept's color scheme had the bodysuit as a middle grey color. But looking at the design of the UNTIL uniform in the new book and reading the description made me think it would work well to change that to the navy blue that the offical UNTIL suit uses. I think it really looks sharp that way!

The fact that this is a non-standard uniform wouldn't play as much havok with current continuity as you'd think, considering that as she's a super-strong full-body cyborg (think brick/martial artist) she would likely join Unity, UNTIL's super team. I can see her as the one who is a somewhat more by-the-book type than the other, more flamboyant members of Unity. As it stands, even the rank pin on her collar matches with the UNTIL ranking system in the book!

Anyway - I used a shot of the actual UN building in NY City as a backdrop for the the character design once I was finished with the coloring. I may have to go back and do a little more shading on the boots. They're supposed to be white, but I think they get washed out a bit here.

(Thanks for the help on the coding, guys. I didn't realize that the coding used <> instead of brackets. It says NOTHING about that in the vB Code help onsite. That's what was buggering me up.)

Nope. I still can't make it work.

Email me here with the exact code, because it sure isn't obvious from the board instructions, and I think the way you're trying to get around the activation of said code on the board is confusing.

I swear - this is the one aspect of the boards I freaking HATE!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for trying to help though. And at least the image can be viewed in your post above.
