oneoflittleword
Now I know that I need the main Champions book but what I would like to know is which others would be the "Must Have" books/supplements to really get things rolling? Spideyguy
Herogames "Must Haves" I think the Ultimate Martial Artist is a must-have for anyone who ever plays martial artists, or campaigns that center around a chop-sake theme. Even if you campaigns don't feature a lot of these two elements, giving a PC a cool (and sometimes obscure) fighting art makes the character more interesting and mysterious. Acroyear
Here's some earlier discussion on books that might help... http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=
Monolith
You need Hero System Fifth Edition. The other books really depend on what you are planning on playing. If you are playing a superhero game, then you definately want Conquerors, Killers & Crooks, and could get plenty of use out of Champions Universe, Champions, and the up-coming Millennium City. If you are playing scifi game I would definately recommend Star Hero and Terran Empire. If you are going to run a fantasy, or normals game, then I would suggest you get The Bestiary and the Ultimate Martial Artist. If you plan on playing in all those games, then get all the books. The books I use the most are FREd, CKC, Champions Universe, and the Bestiary; as well as the Millennium City manuscript. As a player in a Terran Empire game I get a whole bunch of use out of the TE book.
