Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

My paypal account is.... ;)

I admit that when I see your posts here I will typically go check the game to ensure that I didn't miss something, but I think I've been doing a good job with updates.

Yeah, you have. I really don't have any complaints about anyone's posting rates in general. It's just that I'll get impatient about 20 times a day, and one of those 20 usually results in a rant somewhere in the NGD. That seems kind of insulting to you guys, because it's not like you're doing anything wrong.

I totally understand. I wish it was a FtF game because I keep wanting to move forward as well. I'm currently playing in about half a dozen PbP games, and so I'm used to the slower pace, but when it is a great GM and game, it always seems to go slower. to Josh.

Oh, definitely. I'm a little more patient with Josh's FtF games, only because I know that I only have to wait a week or 2 for the next session. But then I inundate him with thoughts about my character, background and weird requests.

So I guess the problem is that I never know exactly when the next update will be, because it's somewhat sporadic, by the very nature of PbP. So it's like, "I have to WAIT for more awesomeness? How much longer? Are we there yet? *whiiiiiiiine*"

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

Just noticed that Skaramine got banned.

What happened if I may ask ?

EDIT: Oh dear found out why.

He spoke up to Simon about Seanaci's signature, and, when Dan replied, sent him an allegedly nasty PM. I haven't seen the PM in question, and I didn't see the conversation between them, either. All I know is, he sent me a PM via AIM saying he'd been banned, and that it was for sticking up for a friend.

EDIT: and you figured all that out. Okay.

The power of the edit.

Thanks for the info anyway Alice.

Incidentally there is a new reality TV show on British TV at the moment called the Farm. They have some Americans on as well.

Charlene Tilton aka Lucy from Dallas.

Flavor Fav from Public Enemy

and the Hedgehog. Ron Jeremy. Yup. THAT Ron Jeremy.

One of the other contestants was Ciccolina the ex Italian MP and porn star.

One of last years tasks included getting semen from a pig. The pig looked pretty happy.

You may whine at times, but you've developed a thick hard shell (like that of a crab).

You are strong willed and persistent - until you get what you want.

You never shy away from a fight, even when things get dangerous.

Mentally sharp, you are starting to master the elements of mind manipulation.

Hey all, I just posted a new Export Template for HD here:

http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31901&page=1

And we seem to be having some difficulties getting it to work with earlier versions of Word. If anyone has versions prior to Word 2003, could you test it out and see if it works for you, and let me know in that thread?

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

What does you driking your coffee have to do with an overweigth alien cat critter?

Absolutely nothing. It's my word for ejecting fluid out of one's nose (and usually onto a computer keyboard).

The Making Light shorthand for that is, "You almost owed me a new keybaord!"

Is that a better phrase for you?

Just making light. I can't hear the word Snarf without thinking of the Thunderpet.

The what?

Must be before my time.

Didn't mean for that last sentence to sound as snippy as it did, but I couldn't figure out a better way to put it that didn't sound MORE snippy.

Ah, well.

In any case, you made my laugh while I was drinking my coffee, and now everything smells like mocha.

Alice, thanks for the update on the Doug's banning. Well drat.

And WM & Kristopher as well? Gone two weeks and everything's changing. Already know enough on the post/rep/NGD thread. Dan being more punitive than before?

From what I saw (not that I saw everthing as I believe that most of the banning that has occured resulted from PMs rather than posts) it seemed more of a case that Ben and Dan drew a line in the sand. Then several people stepped over it, got warned, and some of them stepped back over and got banned.

Just my take. I have no idea if the bans are permanent or not.

Sounds about what I'm getting from the situation. I'd look more, but I've already spent a couple hours trying to catch up and Jenn wants to check her mail. It will be nice to get the network fully functioning again.

Wonder if she's got 400+ spam messages as well...

WHen they took place, Dan said that htey were not permanent. That Ben had final say. And that they could come back when they cooled off.

Cool beanios. I kind of assumed that was the case, but didn't want to claim it without looking it up. And didn't want to look it up. :D
