"Sell by" date just tells the shop when they should throw it out. Ergo I prefer to know when it is no good, not when the store should sell it by. And re: taste of nitroglycerin ... lessee if I remember the quote ... "You can eat dynamite. It tastes sweet. But it gives you a powerful headache."
