Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

It was great. It had Dee Dee, Johnny, and Tommy in it, along with older Joey interviews. It kicked ass. :D

I saw End of the Century in the theater, really excellent. I'm a long-time fan, my wife actually met them several times, travelled with them to NYC and back (she wrote for a school paper, so got hooked up via that, plus she was a semi-rabid fan, having followed them around New England a little), and we both found new things in it. By the way, she did say that in person they were really excellent to their fans.

I think it's quite funny that Johnny Rotten was afraid of meeting The Ramones backstage for the first time. :D

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

Yeah, that struck me as well. By the way, we just ran across a "bio" of the Ramones by Monte wherein Monte and his co-writer wax on how it wouldn't have been possible without him and he's so under-appreciated and the Ramones dumped on him... ...doesn't even acknowledge Tommy's role.

BTW, a funny little thing that stuck with me was Dee Dee after the awards walking down the hall saying "Poor Dee Dee..."

Also, have you (or anyone) seen the Dee Dee documentary? Sad, funny, and interesting, a collection of interviews including one shortly before his death. Lots of stuff on Johnny Thunders and others he hung out/shot up with.

It looks like she has a dislocated elbow' date=' a back ache, and spooge in the eye.[/quote']

I should certainly hope not!

Though the backache . . . possible.

But for her to have gotten something in her eye, she'd've had to take off her glasses, and she's totally blind without them.
