Longest Running Thread EVER

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

It's not a HERO reference; the natural log (ln) of 2 is used in calculating the half life of a substance that diminishes or decays over time.

obscure maths reference. got it :D.

I always had the (bad) joke, I'd be like a radiologist and get a half-life. Bad, yes I know, but hay I made it up more than a decade ago, humour was simple then.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

I am currently using a 20" diagonal flat screen. It is a wide screen though so its dimensions are actually 17" wide by 11" tall.

It is pretty handy when I want to watch a widescreen format DVD. It is also really nice that nothing is ever really too wide for it.

One of the drawbacks is that it is currently set at 1680x1050 pixels. This makes it really hard to find good wallpaper.

Dangers of spellcheckers, from ESPN.com:

Of course' date=' this was always Brown's problem with the Wizards: Put him in a basketball uniform and he's impossible to ignore; put him in a professional game and he's anything but, a 23-year-old player more likely to make a momentum-squelching gaffe than to throw down a ferocious drunk.[/quote']

Look for wallpaper for the iMac's since they use the same resolution on their 20" versions.

Try here and here.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

My only problem with LCD monitors is that they don't sell any that are as high-resolution as I would like. I've got a Dell 20" that runs 1600x1200 as a secondary/gaming monitor' date=' but that just isn't enough. My primary is a 21" CRT that I run at 2048x1536.[/quote']

My 12" Powerbook only runs 1024x768, but at work I can hook up the 21" CRT as a second head at 1920x1280, with both at full color depth. Even my Wacom tablet works fine in that configuration.
