archermoo
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER ... Ever smelt the smell of cultured e. coli? Escherichia coli or Entamoeba coli? Which is actually a pointless (but nonetheless fun) question, since I've cultured them both.

archermoo
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Hopefully' date=' I won't sleep through my bus stop this afternoon.[/quote'] I've come close to sleeping through my BART stop before, but I've never actually done it. On the way home it is less likely, as I'm at the last stop.

Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Heh. Our new light rail system suffered a derailment last night, right at the start of rush hour, as a train was coming out of the maintenance yard. No one hurt (only the operator on board), but it made a nice snarl in the commute.

Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Looks like the frequency of trains has been reduced by a factor of 3: from one every 7.5 minutes to one ever 20 minutes. That's pretty bad. Not world-crushing bad, but bad.

L. Marcus
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I've slept through stops, but thankfully I live, like, five hundred meters from the last stop -- three minutes' walk.
Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I haven't ridden this train yet. It only started service about 6 months ago, and they finished the final part of the initial track -- extending it down to the airport -- last weekend. It starts at downtown and goes south, while I live at the north end of the city.

Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Not for me, but the bus works. The rail is mostly for the commute south, which needs help. All of Seattle has messed-up traffic flow, though.
lemming
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Seattle traffic seemed to always be an issue when I visited. Portland was pretty bad anytime after 2pm, but died off after 6 most nights.
