Longest Running Thread EVER

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

I found a $20 bill on the sidewalk on my way to campus this morning. :celebrate:

I found one of the Andrew Jackson $1 coins on the sidewalk on my walk home from campus yesterday, too.

I need to work out the rate of return and see if I'm making more walking to work than I am when I'm at work teaching. Or perhaps I shouldn't work that out.

Didn't find any money yesterday, but I only walked one way. Our regular gaming lunch was downtown, so I walked to campus, caught a bus downtown right after class, and went home by bus afterward.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

My son brought home a fledgling crow from across the street yesterday. It just hopped up onto his arm from the ground. Of course, it was going after the cookie in his hand. Sigh. It'll get taken to the shelter tomorrow. Right now we're keeping it in the same room as the kittens.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

The two are physically separated with a barrier between them (a lattice door), so they can't get to each other except when we bring the crow out to feed it. The kittens don't associate the crow with anything right now. By contrast, the two adult cats are very aware of what a fledgling crow is.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

I had a vision of the end of the world this morning.

The archangel appears and blows a horn. But it's not a trumpet, or a post horn, or anything made of brass or other metal. Nor is it made of animal horn, or seashell.

No, the horn call that initiates Judgment Day will be that of a plastic vuvuzela.
