Re: The cranky thread

Rescue a cat from Katrina over two years ago, reunite it with it's family because the cat managed to keep it's collar on until February 2006. July 2008, get called because same cat was found in a city park with no collar. (We microchipped all the animals we rescued)

Person's contact info is no longer good. Hurm.

Re: The cranky thread

I have to admit I do that sort of inadvertant biology experiments as well, but when I do tea, it's just the tea, the inevitable tea leaves, and some artificial sweetener. At home IME that takes a week to get fuzzy, so the Thursday --> Monday growth caught me by surprise.

Yes' date=' and none at home. OTOH, there are lab spaces in this building, so I'd expect a bit more in the way of filtration and other precautions in the ventilation systems.[/quote']

I would expect the filters to be for the labs, or perhaps those would be the ones changed...

Possibly; I just don't know. The building is brand new, finished just before I got here in late 2004. And this place, if nowhere else on Earth, I expect to observe environmental safety controls.

Re: The cranky thread

Got a call from my specialist Friday, while I was at work. Message left, but couldn't call back because they were closed by the time I got home. Worked during their entire office hours Monday.

Called just now. Creatnine going up faster. New prescription called in, gonna have to drive to Columbia to get a dialysis access port installed in my arm, which is going to be both frightfully expensive and, I'm willing to bet, horribly painful.

Then it's onto dialysis evidently in the very near future. I've been informed of the procedure to acquire a kidney for transplant, and the odds of me actually getting one are virtually nil, so that's out.

Yeah, F**K YOU TOO, Life.

Damn, that does suck. Sorry to hear that Collie.

I think he wins the cranky award.

Your sympathy is appreciated.

As a side note, I want to apologize for my various threadcraps and general pissiness over the last ... well, couple of years, really. I keep trying to pretend that this stuff isn't affecting me, but at this point, I'm forced to admit, it is.

If I had made the phone call earlier, I'd've called into work because I'm afraid I'm going to start crying.
