Cancer
I've got three of some kind of opiate leftover from my broken tooth extraction last month. I'd walk them over to you if you were in range, and narcotics regs be damned. (If you are in or near Seattle, PM me.)
tkdguy
While I'm thinking of moving into online teaching, today's session has been plagued with technical issues. The host server got disconnected, then I had trouble logging in as well. It's bad enough if I get messed up. This issue messed my students up as well. That is unacceptable! Ternaugh
My main computer started misbehaving a few weeks ago, but the issue has gotten worse. I finally decided to reset Windows, and it's somewhere around 70% complete. I'll have to reinstall my programs, which will take a lot of time, but thankfully my data is either backed up in the Cloud, or on several external hard drives. Ternaugh
The computer was ready to log in when I got up this morning. I'm very slowly getting applications put back on. So far, so good. tkdguy and Pariah
ScottishFox
So I'm one week post-op on the shoulder surgery. Pro's: I've lost 10 lbs. Apparently opiates are an appetite suppressant for me. Shoulder pain is way down. Con's: I've gone from chronically sleepy on the meds (hydrocodone and tramadol) to insomnia (Hello 4:22am). My shoulder still hurts enough to be annoying and I'm week as a kitten. Like STR -5 with left arm. I can manage an energy drink with an EGO check. I've cut the Tramadol to only the worst pain of the day (1x daily vs 3-4x daily) as it is giving me acid-trip like dreams. Sure enough - it's on the "less common" side effect list. My focus is so trashed I'm getting virtually 0 work done. My ability to focus well enough to code is just gone. tkdguy, Lawnmower Boy and Pariah

death tribble
Got another call today about debt management. I made clear that I don't qualify for the government programme as I do not meet the requirements but they still persisted and ended up insulting me so i ended the call and screened the number. Old Man
Wife got a letter saying her unemployment insurance claim has been denied. Did she file a claim for unemployment insurance? No, she did not.

ScottishFox
Shoulder Update: It's 5:30 AM and I'm up. Sleep so far - zero. Yesterday I couldn't sleep until about 6:30 and then the jackass next door started mowing at 7:00AM. Popped extra tramadol and slept like Captain America until 4 in the afternoon. It's moving a lot better during the day with minimal soreness, it hurts just enough to keep me from sleeping. Also, down 22 pounds in one month. Meds have obliterated my sense of hunger. I'm just putting food in my face so I don't pass out or something. Granted I could use another 2 months like this so this isn't so bad. Ok, take 2 on sleepy time. Hope I don't see you guys for like 1/2 a day. Lawnmower Boy and Grailknight
Grailknight
When I had my knee issue, the pain kept me awake also until i developed a routine.. Tough it out during the day to buiild up some tolerance and take your pain meds about an hour before bedtime so, they're just kicking in as you fall asleep. They'll stay in your system longer and you may be able to get a full night in. ScottishFox
tkdguy
Someone smashed the window of my stepfather's truck. Other cars in the neighborhood were also vandalized. This sort of thing happened to my friends' cars over a year ago.

tkdguy
Stupid bleeping glitch in the MMO is keeping me from finishing my quest. I just wanted to relax after a stressful day, and it just stressed me out even more. I probably won't sleep tonight because I'm bleeping mad. ScottishFox
Spent most of the weekend with my sleep cycle inverted (going to bed at 6-7AM and napping all day because I can't sleep at night). Finally started having some success with @Grailknight 's suggestion. Got a solid 5 hours in last night and it felt great. Down 25 lbs in 33 days using the "meds make me not want to eat" diet. Pariah
I spent a bit over three hours in a car dealership today waiting on a recall repair. About 1/3 of the customers and almost none of the salespersons were wearing masks.
Starlord
My experience at most stores is 75% mask usage in the morning, 50% in the afternoon, 25% in the evening and 10% on Friday and Saturday evening. I don't know why.
Ternaugh
The hotel/casino where I work is requiring everyone to wear masks, or they don't get entry. Unfortunately, a number of guests have decided that they don't have to cover their nose, and a few others have the mask only on their chin. tkdguy
EVERY DAY in this week has brought something to raise my blood pressure. I'm way beyond cranky, or even livid. Wrathful? Furious? Ternaugh
The National Weather Service has declared an excessive heat warning through Monday, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 115°F today. I've got the thermostat set to 88°, just so that my air conditioner won't run constantly.
tkdguy
I signed up for that astronomy course, fixed it at work so I could join the live sessions. Of course, I had technical problems and got locked out of the meeting. The week just started and it has already turned to a steaming pile of crap!
