Solomon
Herodom, I am in the process of statting a starhip carrier, and was wondering: how would you stat a carrier's ability to refuel and refill military ordnance on a starfighter? Assume that the fighter has some weapon with the Charges limitation. I am currently leaning towards simply ruling the carrier as a suitable location to restore charges, much the same way as a base. Anyone can come up with an alternative?
Trebuchet
Re: ... and pass me the ammunition. That's a perfectly reasonable way to do it, Solomon. An aircraft carrier is really more of a mobile airbase than a vehicle anyway. There is an aircraft carrier in TUV IIRC but I don't remember how they did aircraft refueling. Lightray
Re: ... and pass me the ammunition. You could purchase the Charges as Recoverable, and then define the carrier as the means of recovering the charges.
Demonsong
Re: ... and pass me the ammunition. I think I an going to have to disagree with Lightray here. A recoverable charge is recoveraable in combat. I am currently leaning towards simply ruling the carrier as a suitable location to restore charges, much the same way as a base. That is how I would do it and that is how it looks like it is done in Star Hero. Later
Metaphysician
Re: ... and pass me the ammunition. I'd rule the same as the case for most guns on a ship that use charges. Lasers can be recharged, gauss guns loaded from central stores. Missiles and fuel need to be resupplied from a tender ship, however.
