You can just hover and look at the url to get the crime's name. More than that, I do not need to know.

 

Crimes against children have always bothered me. When I became a parent, they enraged me.

 

I remember reading about a couple who let their 3mo child starve because they were high for several weeks straight. My eldest has the same name as that child and he was about five months old when I read that. That hit me hard. I didn't get enraged. I wept.

yeah, being a parent puts a different perspective on things when you can't help but think "what if that was my child?"

 

An article last weekend made me think of this. Spoilered for off topic and sad news.

The dad died covering three of the four kids with his own body, and the mom -- shot in both legs -- ran out of the house with the youngest to save him. Two of the kids were injured but survived.

You know what's sad? This type of heinous crime has become so commonplace that this one occurred less than 4 miles from my house, and this is the first that I've heard of it.
