In a sense that is applied biochemistry as I am led to believe that organic chemistry is a core unit of study. But under the medicine umbrella you also have fields like physiology.

My aim* is to try to roughly organise existing academic fields under existing broad categories: eg: science, humanities, social science. I'll probably also add philosophy, liberal arts, and medicine as related or crossover categories. So far I'm interested in the hard sciences, and the related field of applied science.

Re medicine category in second paragraph, I was thinking of putting science subjects that are personal, except for biology. So, physiology, psychology, neuroscience, nutrition/diet, physiotherapy, etc would be included here.

* aim is to have broad categories to ask a question, that will be asked later in the I Challenge You thread. So broad categories will suffice.
