I think RFK was/is a sociopath but that the manifestation in this community, aside from a few individual issues which I'm not dismissing, were, during that time, generally positive. Just to clarify my point plus comment on "the ends". But of course opinions vary. PS - wonder who he is now? Don't really care - I don't see a reason for alarm even if he lurks among us, so long as he's still exercising the goal of being seen as some wonderful being he is not and "fooling" us. There's plenty of incidences in sport where the big name is suddenly surprised and beaten by the minnow. And losing to the county side isn't as bad as it was made out when you find out who two of the batsmen on Somerset's side were. A white wash either way in the Ashes would be a bad thing indeed. I finally realized I left school for the worst reasons... a bad romance. I had justified it in other ways in my head. We do funny things to ourselves sometimes. Luckily, I slipped in just before my credits were too old to count anymore. Now all 156 units are good till 2014. Yippee. I guess I'll go ahead and finish my degree now And a happy Lithia to all! Actually, I assume that anyone running the boards could (and would, if the situation was as bad as it seems to have been) sniff out IP numbers of posters and do some real-world verifications.... And, bluntly, I am not motivated enough to do the pseudo-identity thing at any level of sophistication. I'm a fat, straight, repressed, 48-year-old male geek with a PhD and a depressingly normal lifestyle, and I have no intention of pretending otherwise. I chose "Cancer" as my handle because it tickles my sense of absurd coincidences for at least three different reasons, the astrology thing being the least obscure of them. My "Location" and avatar are broad clues toward another coincidence. Also, I lurked here for a while sniffing out gaming threads. My brother (The_Monster) co-runs a Champions campaign, and I am spying out on his nefarious plans against the players. For instance, I know why he asked what he did when he started the thread "Dispel/Suppress v Multiform", and as the player of the character whose power is a Multiform based on a quartet of short-duration "power pills", I am not looking forward to when he uses that.... So, in short, it is a conspiracy, but not the one you thought it was. Rats.
