Police Department/Headquarters?

I'm looking for information (like a chart) on the organization of a large, urban police department - including support staff. I'm also looking for a map of a large, urban police headquarters. Anybody have a clue where to find this stuff? My initial google searches have not been successful.

Naturally, my next tactic has provided some success. I have found the LAPD site and the Detroit Police Department site very helpful in terms of organization. Sadly, I still haven't found a map of a large police hq.

Here's the floor plan for a police station built in 1873 and was in use untill the 1950's, as far as I can tell.. I'll keep looking..

Best I could find online was a rather small police station, not really what you're looking for. Still, probably better than nothing.

Anyone interested, the Detroit PD site has an excellent organization chart. It would be relatively easy to add in the fictional Millennium City police units to the chart with very little work.

I really went all out, and found something spectacular - 3d walkthrough models of all sorts of great buildings, like the Parthenon, the Stockholm Library, the first Unitarian Church of Rochester, the Hongkong and China Bank, a Viking Fortress town, and about twenty or thirty other sites, at least on this one web page. Some have floorplans, too..

 

First you'll need to download Design Workshop, here for free in the light version
