Mark Rand
Re: IST San Angelo version 2.0 Sir John, Carol, Kuntala, and Maria have their offices on the fourth floor. Paul and Marie Tomas are not related. Their offices are next to each other on the fifth floor. Elaine comes from Dallas, Texas, where her parents are ministers. She received her degree from USC, where she was a cheerleader. Shortly after graduation, she converted to Islam and now dresses modistly, leaving only her hands and eyes visible. Tom had an interesting childhood. Since his father was a stage actor and magician and his mother a belly dancer, makeup artist, and hair stylist, who also assisted his father. he grew up in the theater. He learned all he could from his parents and, naturally, studied acting in college. While there, he was recruted by the CIA. After two years there, a Congressional witchhunt, led by Senator Robert Kinsey, forced the agency to let him go. The United Nations quickly hired him and put him to use as an agent. April, the daughter of a wealthy family, and Keiko, whose mother, Aki, taught gymnastics, grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the (media-proclaimed) pothole capital of the world. They met for the first time when April's paremnts, noticing her high level of energy, sent her to Aki's school to learn gymnastics. Since they were always too busy to watch her, Aki agreed to also care for her. When the girls were six, they swore an other of blood sisterhood, and Aki decided to train April as well as her daughter in ninjitsu. The two girls learned quickly. Both mastered the combat skills, weapons elements and kuji-kiri (or nine ways of cutting). Keiko also mastered the Path of the Shadow's Companion, a highly-specialized series of techniques involving darkness and shadows. They also learned from Aki's sister, Kimiko, who had been a geisha until she married an American husband. Now, she performed in cultural programs and Keiko, Aki, and April assisted her. After graduation from high school, Keiko and April were presented to the head of the clan in Tokyo.
Mark Rand
Re: IST San Angelo version 2.0 He charged them with upholding justice, then told them about Shadowcat, a kunoichi, or female ninja, who was supposedly immortal, but was actually a succession of women going back 200-years. He told them also that the old Shadowcat, his grandmother, had died in battle, and a new one had to be chosen. By some quirk of fate, Keiko was now Shadowcat. An amulet and two bracelets were given to her, as was a special blessing. The amulet would enable her to change into her costume, the bracelets would let er generate energy copies of any martial arts weapon she could think of. The blessing would keep her young and extend her lifespan. After college, they joined the IST. Both women are skilled in ninjitsu, gymnasts with international reputations, geisha, and part of the Sports Car Club of America. (April drives a Lamborghini Diablo in competation and Keiko crews fo her.) Elain's office is on the fourth floor, next t the PC network room. April's office is in a corner of the technical lab on the sisth floor. Neither Keiko nor Tom have offices.
Mark Rand
Re: IST San Angelo version 2.0 Doctor Arcane, who looks suave in his top hat and tails, was a stage magician before becoming a real mage. He looks, according to most people, like a young Fred Astaire. He bonded with his familiar, Isis, a black cat when she was still a kitten. As it happened, Isis's mother was Doctor Arcane's mentor's familiar. Guardian is a tall man in blue, gold, and red armor that, he claims, uses nanotechnology. Uniforms abound at the embassy. The plumers, electricians and other maintance workers wear long-sleeve tan flightsuit-style jumpsuits, as does the embassy's photographer. The medical department all wear light-blue scrubs. The housekeepers wear three quarter sleeve black dresses with thite trim on the collars and cuffs, along with white tea aprons. (This style, known as the Dinner Belle, is the one most often work by maids on TV and in movies.) Due to the danger from latex allergies, all disposable gloves at the embassy are either vinyl, poly, or nutrile.

The gloves are still white-colored though right ? And if so, do they come in off-white colors like eggshell and cream or are the gloves only available in bone-white ? They're the ones most often used in food handling. Nitrile gloves are blue and purple.

The clear gloves just makes the wearer look like a whore.
CBikle
Re: IST San Angelo version 2.0 Susan Stafford, a stuntwoman and fitness model, has been Wheel of Fortune's hostess from the start and looks as young today as she did when she joined the program in 1975. In 1978, while doing a movie stunt, she cut her left arm from the palm to just above the elbow. Fortunately, the cut wasn't deep. In order to hide the cut and bandages, she decided to wear cocktail dresses and long gloves only while her arm healed. Letters from fans liking her new look made her decide to stay with it. CBikle
Re: IST San Angelo version 2.0 Getting back to the discussion of gloves: I don't think the gloves should ever be another color than white or most shades of white. Wearing accessories like decorative armbands would be a fine and acceptable way of differentiating military rank and function.

Clear gloves make you look like you're a fast food handler. (Help me out crowd...I'll bet half of the members on this board still work fast food. Am I right???) White gloves make you look like a whore. Remember Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman? She wore white gloves and she only charged $300 for the whole night. Blue Gloves make you look like anime. Orange and "Brown" gloves amke you look like the PoopSmith http://www.homestarrunner.com/vcr_poop.html.

WonderStuff
Re: IST San Angelo version 2.0 See if this doesn't prove my point about White Gloves. Richard Gere tried to teach Julia Roberts manners, also. I'm starting to think that "teaching manners" is code for "Kama Sutra".

Mark Rand
Re: IST San Angelo version 2.0 Knew I forgot something when mentioning uniforms. The wait staff, so far all female, wear short-sleeve black dresses with white collars and cuffs and a white tea apron. Although the cafiteria closes at midnight, the kitchen stays open all the time, in case someone wants a late meal.
WonderStuff
Re: IST San Angelo version 2.0 short-sleeve black dresses with white collars and cuffs JamesG, you got anything that matches that description? We all really liked your "black glove" contribution. If you have anything from a 1950s etiquette book, I'd be more than thrilled, but I'd accept something along the lines of your last pic.
