Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Well, it looks like Kirby is staying on my ignore list...

From yesterday's Eberron game the party's Artificer, a wisdom-3 adamantine warforged named Cast, wanted detroy some magical items that we had retrieved from a reliquary, so he could use the magical energies for creating other items.

(Me)Ornisk Vorastrix: But it's not ours to dismantle.

Cast: But I called "bagsies" as we entered the room.

Ornisk Vorastrix: I don't care.

Later, after we had discovered that the item that had been securely bound about five different ways and heavily trapped was in fact The Book of Vile Darkness, the table discussion went metagame briefly, as we realized that Cast couldn't "recycle" an artifact. But he could use lesser, cursed and evil items.

Cast (OOC): So give me any of the cursed items, and I can launder the XP.

From the Deadlands: Lost Colony game...

After the psyker fails to do any appreciable damage with a brainblast directed against a (relatively) normal beast.

El Rick (Psyker): My brain must be feeling tired.

The Supersoldier who's name I forget right now:o: Mine does that all the time.

Later, during a fight with some Reapers.

El Rick: I should have shot one of them, then... with my brain.

And near the end, after his brain last finally inflicted a wound level.

Unamed PC1: It must be the end of the world.

Unamed PC2: No, that was last session.:sneaky:

Link to some of my favorite online gaming stories that I don't believe I've posted here before. The game: WarhammerFRP. The campaign with Fat Gregor, Wolfgang, and that other guy... GM'd by General Tangent (some strong language... pretty harmless):

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

A week late, but from last Sunday's D&D game:

Party is taking a pulsing gem to a temple to be examined.

Ryan: "Our ranger got us in trouble again."

Priestess: "They do have a habit of doing that."

Ylle'k (OOC): "... but we have a potion that takes care of that."

No luck there, so we go to the dwarven temple of Moradin.

Dwarf cleric (answering our knock at the door): "You don't look like any followers of Moradin that I know."

Y'llek (multiclassed as a cleric): "Actually, have you heard the Good News about Autumn Willow?"

Dwarf cleric: "Yeah, she's restricted to a very small area."

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

After a battle where one of the characters (Prestige) discovers the SID of another character,(Silver Sentinel) and goes to confront them about it.

Prestige: Wow, Sarah, I had no idea you were really Gideon.

Sarah (Thought Balloon) Crap...I'm screwed. She knows. She's just playing. What the hell....

"Yes I am!"

Prestige: Well, let's see Gideon then.

Sarah generates a hologram of Gideon, with the voice and everything that says "Now, young lady, it just won't do to have you goin' round humpin' puppies..."

Prestige: No, really, Sarah, it was either Gideon, Romula, or Silver Sentinel. And I know you're Silver Sentinel...I was just kidding...why didn't you tell me?....

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Everyone I tried to Rep for these Id Repped already :/

Some quotes from this weeks New Titans game. (It was mostly an RP session, and unfortunately a lot of the quotes would either take too much backstory to explain, or were kind of...well...inappropriate for the boards).

-------------

[Fusion is talking to his buddy Neutron about Wild Card]

Fusion: Hey, if I was a shapeshifter, Id be a lesbian slut!

--------------

Feline Fury [in secret ID]: You guys are the best parents ever! Everyone I know is wicked jealous; I couldnt be happier! :D

-------------

Neutron: My mom isnt in porn.

Feline Fury: Is she hot? Cause I know people... ;D

------------

Neutron: Ill just be over here....knitting.:hush:

-------------

Feline Fury [who is notably "blessed"]: Well, your mom knows that youre Inertia, right? We hang out together all the time. So if she sees a picture of Feline Fury Im pretty much busted.............so to speak. :P

-------------

........And those were the CLEAN ones!

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Some quotes from my Global Guardians campaign (an homage to the DCAU JLA)

-------------

Crusader: All right, how many of us are qualified to operate these new "Eagle" starcraft that Huntress designed?

Scarlet Sorceress [Archmage from the Victorian era]: Are you joking? I have trouble operating a Victrola!

---------------

[The Global Guardians are battling a large number of men in Powered Combat Armor]

Golden Phoenix: *Fires an arrow at a PCA trooper*

Scarlet Sorceress: *Hits the group of troopers that Golden Phoenix's target was in with an invisible mental attack*

PCA Troopers: *All fall down Stunned*

Golden Phoenix: Wow! My Kung Fu is powerful! :D

-----------------

[Huntress has been having trouble with one of the PCA Officers. Fed up, she slaps an explosive charge on his FACEPLATE]

Huntress: Want to play roulette with how much explosive is in that shaped charge?

PCA Officer: ....no ma'am :straight:

Golden Phoenix (OOC): Now hes got a bomb on his faceplate, AND one in his underwear! :eg:

-----------------

[Lawstar uses the power of his Power Crystal to form an energy blade which looks -remarkably- like a lightsaber, and uses it to deck a PCA trooper]

Crusader (OOC): Does it make the noise?

Lawstar (OOC): Nope. HE makes the noise! VVVVVSHHHHH!

-----------------

GM: Okay, Ill give you a +4 to hit him...with their...gigantic...vehicle.

Crusader: Cool! :celebrate

----------------

GM: ...and he reveals that Domina is planning to auction off the giant, super-powerful satellite-killing laser weapon.

Crusader (OOC): On E(vil)-Bay

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

That reminds me of a San Diego Knights adventure I ran several years ago called "The Man Who Sold the Earth..."

A villain calling himself the Earth Master sold the Earth on the Alton Internet Auction Service for 2,931 dollars and 27 cents, and Alien Villains came to collect.

Mesa: What do you mean you SOLD it?

Earth Master: I have a receipt right here!

Steel Thunder: You HAVE to be kidding me, do you have a check?

Earth Master: Of course! (Fight starts as Earth Master and the PC's begin duking it out while alien villains try to get ahold of the receipt. The PC's lost and found themselves in space, but that's a story for another time.)

Took you long enough to figure it out.I thought it was Kasumi as soon as I read the phase "150-point Housewife":)

[thread=1337344]Digression Moved To Its Own Thread[/thread] ( http://herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1337344 ) (Sorry - shoulda done it sooner)

OBQuote:

Star Hero game. Roxy has just freed some metas who'd been enslaved in a brothel for some time. One brick proceeds to rip any brothel personnel within reach into bits.

Roxy (from a safe distance): There, there... let it all out.

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

From last night's first session of Traveller Hero, the PCs have landed to refuel and pick up cargo on a rimworld in the Spinward Marches. Using Streetwise, they find the local hangout where freighter crews hang out and get jobs (I named it The Last Chance). In my description of it, I used the term "seedy dive" and that began this exchange.

PC 1 (OOC): The Seedy Dive? Sounds like part of a franchise operation.

GM (Me): Yeah, it does, doesn't it?

PC 1 (OOC): Every port town should have one.

PC 2 (OOC): I vote to call it the Seedy Dive from now on.

So now every port will likely have a local "Seedy Dive" available. :sneaky:

In listening to the exchange, I was reminded of an older quote on this thread about a restaurant called (I think) The Obvious Trap. :D

From the just started Shadowrun campaign that I'm in.

The newly formed group is brainstorming ideas on how to retrieve some stolen data when the troll gangbanger's chimes in with this:

"I don't think we should do anything illegal."

"Just kidding."

An old group of mine had one of those recurring bars- in a fit of pique, the GM had named it The Lusty Penguin. The funny thing is this bar worked its way into every subsequent game, like Shadowrun, or most humorously, Legend of the Five Rings. They even had a slogan, there- "From the Burning Sands to the Shadowlands, it's the Lusty Penguin!"

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Explaining his Enraged:

Ghost Eagle (OOC): Despite the name, my spirit animal is actually a badger that has recently been poked.

* * *

GM: James comes running out of the sporting goods stor dual wielding baseball bats.

Ghost Eagle (OOC): It would be a lot more heroic if he came out with kittens.

Robin Fletcher (OOC): Dual wielding kittens?

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

From my City On The Edge campaign yesterday...

I needed to introduce a new character into the team, so I decided to run a mini-adventure where he had been asked a couple he had just recently helped had asked if he would look into their daughter's recent change of social group at school. He found that one of the girls she was now hanging around with had the VIPER emblem on practically everything she owned, so he decided he might need some help, and tryed to contact The Edge, the players' team.

When he got to their public base, he rang the doorbell, and tried to explain to Avatar about his suspicions involving the possibility of three emergent Supers.

Avatar: "Zero! We've got supervillains."

Zero: "They rang the doorbell? What, and now they're running away?"

A short while later...

Miss Chaos: "Why did you come to us?"

The Stentorian (New PC): "Because you're an established supergroup."

Trawler: "But you said that it required subtlety and finesse"

Me:

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

From the Knights of Justice (Champions) game:

We've just fought some cultists and Cold Sun (ice-based speedster) has skated ahead/down to the next chamber. He has attacked a couple of guards and then hears a roar. He turns and...

GM: You see a large creature towering over you... large powerful legs... reptilian, crocodile-like scaly skin... dark red in colour - like congealing blood... sharp, powerful claws... long sinewy arms... a large mouth filled with sharp teeth - a LOT of sharp teeth...

Cold Sun (wanting to roll a knowledge skill to maybe identify it): Gypsy folklore?

GM: It's not a gypsy

Same game, later on. Cold Sun is doing multiple move-bys on two guards at a time, but rolled an 18 to hit the second one so skids along the ground and winds up being brutally clubbed with a rifle. His next action:

Cold Sun (to self or OOC): Let's just try that again... hit one and run into the butt of another...
