Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Oh' date=' I've got plans for Vitus - linked to certain mythology about hyena-man wizards in the Sudan and regions adjacent[/quote']

Oddly enough, I thought about you the other night, I was playing World of Warcraft and faced off against a necromancer named Vitus. Sadly for him, he wasn't a gnoll and I beat him mercilessly for being an imposter.

*grins* that must have confused him a bit

Thanks. And of course' date=' the new character, Samuel Santorio, has [i']started off[/i] with an impressive range of mental disorders.

Good luck to him. But, I always thought the whole idea in CoC was to build up one's collection of mental disorders during actual play ("... I got this one when we found that Byakhee nest, and this one I got after fighting those Deep Ones, and THIS one ...") .

;) A character with pre-existing mental problems joining the campaign seems kind of like cheating.

Now it all makes sense!

But now all the other characters have to worry about what happened to the poor sod that left him in this state, and all they have to go on are the cryptic partial memories he still possesses :D

"Yuck ! My spandex thong is raping me !"...

---------------

Told by a very prude superheroine when trying on her new designed sexy skimpy costume...

I facepalmed and was hilarious for near 20 minutes, forcing us to stop the game.

;) H-e-l-l-o? Call Of Cthulhu?

What you're describing sounds like an ordinary Wednesday afternoon for the group.

Yes, they know "Call Of Cthulhu" happened. I think, though, that they are more concerned with the specifics of what happened to make him like this, and whether it is something nearby that they might soon have to deal with.

Sounds like a line that should be in an 80's disco/horror film -- had such a thing

ever been made (:sneaky:).

correct. Plus, it makes for one of those reports to Agent Landing at ONI, a prospect to invoke fear and nausea in anyone

In a supervillains game, one of the PCs expresses concern that someone we plan to rob might hire assassins to come after us. The rest of the PC's scoff.

Ohhh-kay. Is that with or without the jar?

He's keeping it in a jar for the time being. It seems content enough. Might need a bigger jar soon if he keeps feeding it bits from the human organ fridge in the basement...

For some strange reason, I'm hearing the song "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space", from Little Shop of Horrors. Anyone else hearing that? :)

Well, what do you expect McGinty to do? It's the wrong time of year to bury assorted body parts in the vegetable garden, he has to clear out fridge space somehow

OK, so McGinty now has a lore-appropriate waste disposal unit. Certainly not the worst thing he has ever done or otherwise been responsible for. So far.

For anybody wanting to know what McGinty's new pet looks like

Obliviously opens link in new tab.

Remembers description from earlier quotes.

Carefully finishes chewing, and puts food away before looking at new tab.

Gah!

Arachnophobia triggered.

Will be unable to sit still for several minutes.

Repped.

Edit: Must spread blah blah...
