BigJackBrass
Re: Victorian Hero Resources Forgotten Futures (mentioned briefly above) is a stunningly useful resource. The game is great, but what really raises it to the top of the pile is the astonishing amount of period material and fiction that Marcus Rowland has managed to cram onto the CD-R (or you can download if you prefer, and aren't living in the age of dial-up as I am). Much of this is scanned from Victorian periodicals and books, so it's worth getting the collection just as a source of handouts and great reading. I'm also fond of http://www.nagssociety.com which supports the Terra Incognita RPG. Again, a lovely game but the site goes way beyond it and adds several useful links each week. Excellent job, QM. Thank you.

Air Pirate
Re: Victorian Hero Resources It's amazing what you find, when you are not even looking for it Anyway here's some nice information if you're basing your campaign in New York City: Lower Eastside Tenement Museum There's also a lot of great material here for a Pulp Hero, Dark Champions, or street-level Champions campaign. Zane_Marlowe
Re: Victorian Hero Resources Hey Friends, As this particular series of links has been invaluable to me, I thought I'd post the prefabs I'd recently generated for my Victorian Hero campaign. I'd be interested for your comments or review. The one thing I haven't created is gatling guns and maxim guns, but this was enough to equip my players. st barbara
Re: Victorian Hero Resources The "Encyclopedia Of Fantastic Victoriana" is ,well fantastic ! I can hardly wait for "The Encyclopedia Of Pulp Heros" promised in 2007 ! Another resource is "Science Fiction : The Early Years" by Everett F Bleiler (Kent State University Press, 1990). Not perhaps hugely detailed but it mentions a LOT of Early SF and Fantasy fiction, much of it probably well nigh impossible to get hold of these days ! Zane_Marlowe
Re: Victorian Hero Resources I actually bought Nevins' Enclopedia of Fantastic Victoriana. It's BRIMMING with good stuff for our adventures. Just getting in the mood is a blast with this thing, and it has the literary conventions of the time so you can create the appropriate thematic elements.
