Thanx, I added G to my netflix queue. I had to put down a few because Vol 1 is listed as "short wait". That pretty much means it's good and popular. I am finding it hard to find anime I like. I enjoyed "Full Metal Panic" even with the "humor", but the humor in Mezzo: DSA I could have done without. Oh well, I'm sure with time I will get a feel for the genre.

Right now I have started working up a campaign that will have the PCs using armor suits akin to the ones in Bubblegum Crisis that can insert/control larger mecha. It is based on the secret from the world organization opposing the alien/supernatural invader type genre. Right now the concept is that the technology only works when you have a certain rare genetic marker, ie the PCs. Its been a while since I worked with power armor in hero so I am having to do my research on the best way to handle it. Especially having the armor loose bits and pieces of capability as it takes damage.

Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects

I don't have too many pet gaming projects as ideas I throw out on these boards. That's because I don't have a regular gaming group. However, some of my more recent ideas are on the Dark Champions and Fantasy Hero boards.

On a more whimsical note, I had this thought about having a sitcom type of campaign starring a few cartoon characters from different shows. The cast of characters are:

1. Kenshin Himura (Ruroni Kenshin)

2. Vash the Stampede (Trigun)

3. Radical Edward and Ein (Cowboy Bebop)

4. Dexter and Deedee (Dexter's Laboratory)

5. Johnny Bravo (Johnny Bravo)

What do you think?

Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects

For the most part, I'm working on writing up the characters and setting of Ranma 1/2. I really love the series, and I've been doing way too much research (reading fanfic and watching eps) and not enough solid number crunching. At this point, my plan is to start with the weak end of things (the losers who attack Tendo Akane in the morning) and work my way up from there. Since I can figure out how well Akane does against them, and how well others do against her, I think it'll come out all right.

Since (IMO) it's at about the same power level, and I have the nifty-wifty RPG and Resource Guide for it, I'm also planning to convert GoO's Sailor Moon RPG. I'll be using the Reality storm numbers for the most part, but since the book was written almost before 1st Ed BESM came out, it's gonna be a bit of work.

The Ultimate Dimension???

Kirk-esque "NEED. MORE. INFORMATION."

Calm down. :) I'm not telling tales out of school about some Super Sekrit Projekt or anything. It's just something I've been noodling over for about six or seven years, for my own purposes. If you do a forum search for "ultimate dimension" you can find out more about it. This thread has more info.

Ummm... let me be more clear.

There is no official project entitled The Ultimate Dimension.

Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects

My pet projects right now are:

Get my Victorian-era game together (think 1890's dashing adventures, crossed with Tim Power's Declare and The Stress of Her Regard and you are halfway there). So far all I have done is a backstory timeline, two adventures written up and a couple more fleshed out and the story arc sketched out in a couple of pages. I still need to write up another half dozen adventures (that'll give me enough to get started - I can write the others as we progress), the NPCs, the maps, a player's intro and some maps, and then do the necessary artwork :(

Second on the list is to update and expand my fantasy hero game world, which has been kind of stalled after a burst of enthusiam a few years back. I have two realy big boxes of hand-drawn and handwritten stuff that needs to be digitized as a first step :( :(

cheers, Mark

Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects

1. Learn the Hero system well enough to run any genre as I am converting my whole d20 set of campaings to Hero.

2. Convert all the usable magic items from my D20 game to Hero and create random tables for them like D&D has.

3. Finish my metal gameboard and magnetizing all my scenery and miniatures.

I like one and two, but three sounds like a lot of work.

Whoa

Oh, you can call it The Ultimate Dimension, because that's what I call it. I just don't want anyone asking Steve Long when The Ultimate Dimension is coming out, because he's just going to go "Huh?"

Re: Updated YOUR "2005 Pet Projects" List

Besides getting my PBEM back up and running, I'd like to do more work on our superhero campaign world Chronicles of Champions, the mutli-genre ElseWorlds page & campaigns, a site dedicated to a fifteen-year-long AD&D campaign I was in, and a home-brewed fantasy world tentatively entitled "World of Kyrindor".

The Chronicles stuff I should have done soon, but the rest is kinda up in the air. I've been working on the fantasy world off-and-on for about a year, but none of it is ready for "publication" (on a site). The AD&D campaign I was in, The Annals of Griffon Company, is barely more than an idea at this time.

Still, I'd like to have hit all of them before the year is out. I can dream, right?

keyes-bill’s "Black Blood River Expeditionary Company" & “UNITY 2010â€

http:// http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27202

UNITY 2010 is the Champs game I'm currently running. It's not really intended to be a long-term (more than one year) project. My true pet project is my own high-fantasy world called Temoris (of which the Black Blood River Expeditionary Company was one small subset). Currently I'm working on spell lists and the various religions for it. :bounce:

And I'm writing several more Digital Hero articles. :D

Bill.

And the Ultimate Freedom Patrol. A write up of my pulpish espionage and black ops game with powers. Its being retconned into the 1950's.
Ah, I was wondering where the misattribution (to me) had come from, just hadn't had the time to go back through the posts yet. :)
