Grymour
Re: Moon Knight........ I also started collecting MK at issue #1, At the time I loved the whole back story for him. It just seemed to me that as time went on they messed with everything that made him so cool. Now I know that the series was produced back in the 80's and IRC he didn't ever kill anyone. I think that he has always had the cresent darts as well as the Truncheon(sp?), so in the beginning I thought of him more as a hero(low powered)/Vigilante.. but as time went on more and more of a vigilante. Anyway I hope that the new MK series goes back to the begining and does him right this time. Also could anyone explaine the virus to me I missed that(i'd stopped collecting by that point). Thank you. Take care and be well, Grymour

Dholcrist
Re: Moon Knight........ After reading a bit about him in the Earth X (and subsequent Universe and Paradise X series) maxiseries, I did some internet research on the character and completely fell for the pulpy badassness of the character. So I ordered almost all of the comics (missing like 4 from the original series, and like 10 from the Marc Spector series) off of E-Bay a few months ago. Completely agree with most everyone on here. The original run was fantastic, Doug Moench did a great job creating a Marvel hero who rarely even fought supervillains, and had an incredibly mysterious/ambigious past/present. Just a great character overall. Once it got to the Fist of Khonshu series though... I really liked the moon-based superstrength, but the whole Triad of elders or whatever, and all of his egyptian gadgets were far too hokey... as well as the costume change. The beginning of the Marc Spector series was really good, a huge relief (though I missed the multiple identities), but quickly degraded once he got the armor. But once Doug Moench brought him back to life (literally), the 2 mini-series they made were great. I've been playing a MK homage in DC lately ("Moon Spectre" aka Jon Raith aka Alexander Knight aka Max Bulitt), mixing the moon based powers with the mult. identities. Probably my favorite Champs character thus far.
