What Are You Listening To Right Now?

Recommended Posts

When the musical Man of La Mancha was first brought over to be produced in France, the producers turned to Jacques Brel. Having been cast as Don Quixote, Brel was also given considerable freedom to adapt the show's lyrics into French. This is how "The Quest" (aka "The Impossible Dream") came out, from a 1968 TV special. The YouTube page of this video shows the lyrics being translated back into English; they give a special sort of emotional heft to the mad Don's efforts showing a man who is old, lonely, and desperate to make one last glorious gesture before slipping away unnoticed into the night.

Mitchie M just released his second album which includes a full length version of this song which was a promotion for an event for a mobile phone game. Insanely catchy, which is more or less his calling card as a composer/arranger
