Sauron has plenty of willpower, so he'd do all kinds of nasty things with it, if the ring would accept him. I was just wondering what it would do to Steve Rogers, because the guy was pretty well incorruptible. I'd say he was at least as pure of heart as Samwise. At that point it's a little fuzzy as to whether it's your pet or not, but once you start letting it into the house and/or get it fixed, it's definitely yours.
