Re: "Neat" Pictures

Hmm. Though I like the colors on the earlier ones' date=' Baz, I don't think I could use them as a desktop background, as they started to make my eyes hurt after a moment or two. [/quote'] Nice comment, thanks. :)

The "eyes" ones, though, are very nicely done. I'm afraid I wouldn't use them, either, but that's because I'd get creeped out by seeing a large lizard-type eye staring at me out of my monitor...
ditto, I don't want to scare myself.

But it's still nice work, even if it's not something I, personally, would use.

Re: "Neat" Pictures

A couple of very interesting pictures Taken from space:

  1. A Picture taken from space, between the sunrise/sunset line over Europe and Africa...it was taken during a mission of the Space Shuttle Discovery.
  2. A picture taken by the Hubble Telescope...it has been dubbed The Eye Of God.

As a matter of fact, I did...I happen to like CCR myself. ;)

A Picture taken from space' date=' between the sunrise/sunset line over Europe and Africa...it was taken during a mission of the Space Shuttle [i']Discovery[/i].

That's an impressive pic, alright, but...can you really see the differences in ocean depth like is shown in the pic? I don't recall ever seeing anything like that in other pics, though I admit I haven't been looking. For that matter, I see a definite lack of cloud cover, as well.

I'm not trying to "pick apart" the pic or say it's bad or anything, just commenting it seems a tad unusual and was wondering if anyone knew for sure...

Re: "Neat" Pictures

I'm not sure, but I think these are supposed to be mecha piloted by the JLA members, not robot versions of the JLA members -- the globe in each "robot" appears to be holding the JLA member that matches the design of the robot.
