BoloOfEarth
Oooookay. WTF was that about? Though I suppose it serves as an example of why filmmakers shouldn't use green-colored rubber masks if they're going to use a green screen. tkdguy
death tribble
It is riffing off the Fantomas movies that were made in the 1960s where the arch villain Fantomas was seen wearing such a mask. The pursuer is Juve who is portrayed comically in the films but is much more strait laced and remorseless in the books.
tkdguy
I recently watched a four-part miniseries of Fantomas. It was made in 1980, with Helmut Berger in the title role.

Lord Liaden
As long as we're on the subject of kaiju: If you've seen the recent anime Godzilla movies, Planet of the Monsters and/or City on the Edge of Battle (streamed in English in North America), you know that they feature the biggest, most powerful incarnation of Godzilla ever, evolved over twenty thousand years. The second of those movies introduced a radical new interpretation of Mechagodzilla. Although that version of Mechagodzilla never fully appeared on screen, the producers of the anime did describe its abilities, which fans were able to gain access to. Some of those fans, who have produced a variety of high-quality animated shorts, decided to give us the Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla rumble that the anime did not. If you already knew the above, or don't care about spoilers, get ready for one of the most beautiful and spectacular animated kaiju rumbles I've ever seen. wcw43921
