Lord Liaden
Then you should check out the other YouTube music videos produced by the Merkins starring Jason, Michael Myers, Leatherface, Ghostface, and Freddy Krueger, as well as all of them together in the boy-band called, "The Slashstreet Boys." 😈
BNakagawa
This video was made to promote a contest for users of an animation freeware package called MMD. It features some animations created by the userbase through the first two years. death tribble

BNakagawa
This was done for the 15th biannual MMD cup. The first character represents the Kongo - a Japanese battleship constructed by the British during WWI. The characters dressed as archers represent carriers. death tribble

tkdguy
Here's an interesting "what if" scenario. However, I don't think it would ever have happened, as it's just not in Elrond's character to do this.
wcw43921
Interesting. Suppose instead that Elrond clobbered Isildur over the head with the flat of his blade, then taken the Ring and cast it into the fire himself. Would that have averted both evils? I wonder. . . tkdguy
Cancer
Sedan nuclear test 6 July 1962: atmospheric nuclear test in Nevada. Easy to see the entire phenomenon as madness now, but it turns out this has a unique and very strange scientific usefulness. Because this was openly done, and the resulting crater and the yield of the bomb were published, it provides the anchor point for the relationship between crater diameter and infalling bolide energy (which is 1/2 m v^2) for impact craters on planetary surfaces. BNakagawa
This is an ad for Yamato delivery service, the company that actually holds the trademark for the japanese word for delivery service. When Studio Ghibli wanted to make the movie Kiki's delivery service, they had to ask permission from Yamato to be allowed to use that word in the japanese title. Another sneaky bit at 2:31 when the girls are playing badminton, the score is 9 to 6. The numbers 9 and 6 are associated with the syllables ku and ro which together form the japanese word for black. (Yamato's logo features a black cat)
