Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous)

some RPGs that MIGHT not be good ideas to do offical HERO conversions for:

HOL (just what the appeal of that thing is escapes me completely)

Kill Puppies for Satan (although you might get a surprising good campaign out of Kobolds Ate My Baby!)

Low Life (a very post-holosaust Savage Worlds setting that lets you play a sentient Twinkie. Yes, the snack cake.)

As I understood it, most people found simply reading the "rulebook" to be a total hoot.

Yep. I would never try playing HOL, but it's hysterical to read. Especially if you've also read the (legendary) Spawn of Fashan rules.

I think Tales of the Travelling Vagabond (do I have the name right? don't think so) had a class of weaponry called "Don't point that at my planet".

Tales of the Floating Vagabond.

It also had a ranged defined as "See That Speck?"

I wrote a magazine adventure for that game called "So many Chickens, So Little Time" which is one of the strangest things I've ever written.

"In this adventure, your player-characters will be faced with massive schemes, grand deception, elemental evil and kamikaze poultry."

Six-foot chickens in seeksucker suits with Berserker Rage that is triggered by any phrase or action that refers to the consumption of chickens or eggs.

Given the number of Champions campaigns that have centered around PC supervillains over the years' date=' it seems superflous.[/quote']

Sounds like we actually need Heroic HERO then!
